Bottle... I drank this straight from the bottle, so I don’t know what it looks like and I don’t care. I don’t know what it smells like and I don’t care. Medium to full-bodied with lively carbonation. Sweet, mildly roasted, honey-like malts are in the driver’s seat but mingle nicely with a moderate degree of tropical fruit, pine and melon bitterness. Moderately sweet, fruity finish. Washes down Caribbean food like a motherfucker. Bottle courtesy of ygtbsm94!

Looks like lemonade, but slightly darker.. very little head. Strong smell of tropical fruit, maybe a little bit of fruity funk. Taste is strong tropical notes, good carbonation, medium bitterness. Very smooth for the style and ABV.

appearance: clear gold, with soapy white head, some legs. aroma: grapefruit, mango, passion fruit, pine, warm caramel. taste: as the aroma indicates, also with some pineapple. finish: lingering, full body, slightly chewy and a little sweet, with the juicy hops adding both to the sweetness and to the dry bitterness for balance. notes: Not sure about the "Pacific Ale" commercial description or the "American Strong Ale" appellation assigned here. This was an IPA. An IPA with Australian hops. And it was pretty good, but not great. Bottle from the Beer & Wine Cellar in Rockville, Maryland.

Rich golden coloured body with a thinnish, two centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of grass, tropical fruits, herbs and a little malt - but this one is all about the hops. Medium-bodied; Strong grassy flavour at first of hops with a small but noticeable light malt backbone showing some herbs, tropical fruit and a hint of unfinished sugars. Aftertaste shows a lot of metallic and nutty malt with a big alcohol presence, some light grass and the smallest hint of sugars at the tail end. Overall, a strong and pungent beer that shows some nice flavours throughout, but not too much complexity. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Giant in Falls Church, Virginia on 04-March-2016 for US$1,75 sampled in my hotel room in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on 20-May-2016.
