Draft to plastic taster. Looks good for the style; a pale golden amber with off-white head. Smells of lager yeast and a touch of caramel. Tastes like it smells, but maltier, and more toffee than caramel. Mouthfeel is medium light-bodied. Decent.

bbertels (507) - NORWAY - DEC 5, 2017
UPDATED: DEC 5, 2017 Bottle, had at Dulles international airport. Some caramel notes, amber to orange in colour. Moderately carbonated. Taste is medium but recedes quickly - too quickly - and it becomes, sadly, a bit watery.

Draft. Clear amber body with a frothy white head, diminishing. Aroma of caramel, toasted grain, light bread, grass. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. A bit sweet, but OK balance overall.

Shag (3047) - Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA - OCT 21, 2017
A dark amber color with a beige head. The aroma is toasty with some caramel, biscuit, and floral notes. The flavor is rather sweet but not too much so with some caramel, toffee, and bready notes. Overall I think this is pretty good for the style.

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2017 From draft. Completely lacking flavor. Bland. Like watered down Alaskan Amber. How this beer won all those awards I will never understand.

Goodgrief (2062) - Middletown, Delaware, USA - SEP 30, 2017
On tap. Pour was dark mahogany. Aroma of burnt biscuits. Molasses, caramel malts with a toasty biscuit. There was a medicinal off flavor that was difficult to stomach. Otherwise, it could have been enjoyable. Nice bite and rich mouthfeel.

Strong malt backbone. I need to try it again as I had eaten many jalapeño chips and couldn't really judge it as my mouth was tainted by fire. Worth another try ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

on tap at Mikes Crabshack, new brewery, honey almond pour with slight foam, grainy nut aroma, flavor tastes somewhat of old nuts, ok finish

Aurelius (5590) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - SEP 8, 2017
Standard longneck, very nice label. Clear, or mostly clear, dark maplewood pour, not much head. A sensuous, malty, slightly sweaty, sweet/tannic aroma. Sweet, husky, malta-molasses flavor. Tannic at times, has some ale-y qualities. Rich mouthfeel, pleasant light bitterness, mossy aftertaste. Thanks to PorterPounder for the trade. Waiting for Hurricane Irma, '17.

Malty slightly bitter with a light caramel aftertaste. Was enjoying this during opening night of NFL. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
