Soft carbonation with slick mouthfeel. Taste is bready with hints of caramel but has undertones of tart and sour. Pretty enjoyable and easy to drink. Im more of a hop head but this was still pretty good! malvrich (351) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JAN 13, 2016
12 oz. bottle with no date info found even after being told by DB that this is on the bottleneck.
A: Beautiful pour. Clear copper color with a short lasting head and patchy lacing. Few visible bubbles.
S: Malty with toffee and nut aromas. Moist brown bread.
T: Taste is also malty as expected with toasted nut and a bit of caramel sweetness. Also tastes watery.
M: Light body and below average (flat) carbonation does not excite the tongue IMO. Slight lingering sweetness but it is not cloying.
O: Been intending to try this for a while. Now I know it’s just a mediocre amber lager. Watery malt taste and always expensive. OK but not impressed. Points off too for shitty (non-existent) date coding. Patrickctenchi (6731) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - JAN 11, 2016

[ As Devils Backbone Vienna Lager ].
Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, hay, caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, hay, pale malt, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.
Pours a clear golden brown on tap with dissipating off-white head that leaves light lace. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel, and clean yeast esters. Taste is less of the caramel, more of the yeast, clean and easy. Decent stuff, good for a lager. blackflag321 (701) - Lansing, Michigan, USA - NOV 26, 2015
Six-pack of bottles in various glasses over several weeks. Matches the brewers deScription. Sweet and malty. Just shiny of coppery taste I don’t care for but otherwise a decent beer. eggraid101 (79) - Virginia, USA - NOV 26, 2015
Poured from a bottle nice pale color thin head. Nice malt flavor with a little nutmeg or cinnamon flavor. Nice malt finish

Sweet and malty with some caramel and doughy bread. Smooth, but light. Earthy through the finish. tillmac62 (759) - Gaffney, South Carolina, USA - NOV 23, 2015
BOD 8/7/15. Pours a clear medium amber with a garnet cast. Normal head volume, lacing and retention.
Very light nose of biscuit with a bit of caramel.
Light body with a semi-smooth texture. Perfect carbonation with a strong effervescent burst in the middle and a finely bubbled rollicking finish.
The flavor profile is outstanding. This is crisp and stays crisp throughout the entire palate. It begins with a toasted biscuit with a fair amount of graininess. The middle delivers a mild bitterness and a bit of herbal noble hop flavor. From the middle on, a subtle sweetness rolls around underneath - much like the nose, biscuit with a caramel note. The crisp finish is an effervescent explosion that leaves you with a grainy toasty lingering bitterness.
