Aromas of toast, apple butter, and toffee. Clear, dark gold, with low retaining white head. Toasty, nutty, and dry, with prevalent, tannic, hop bitterness. Light-medium body, decent carbonation, finishes with clean, dry malty tones.

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2017 From draft. Completely lacking flavor. Bland. Like watered down Alaskan Amber. How this beer won all those awards I will never understand.

On tap. Pour was dark mahogany. Aroma of burnt biscuits. Molasses, caramel malts with a toasty biscuit. There was a medicinal off flavor that was difficult to stomach. Otherwise, it could have been enjoyable. Nice bite and rich mouthfeel.

Strong malt backbone. I need to try it again as I had eaten many jalapeño chips and couldn't really judge it as my mouth was tainted by fire. Worth another try ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

on tap at Mikes Crabshack, new brewery, honey almond pour with slight foam, grainy nut aroma, flavor tastes somewhat of old nuts, ok finish

Standard longneck, very nice label. Clear, or mostly clear, dark maplewood pour, not much head. A sensuous, malty, slightly sweaty, sweet/tannic aroma. Sweet, husky, malta-molasses flavor. Tannic at times, has some ale-y qualities. Rich mouthfeel, pleasant light bitterness, mossy aftertaste. Thanks to PorterPounder for the trade. Waiting for Hurricane Irma, '17.

Malty slightly bitter with a light caramel aftertaste. Was enjoying this during opening night of NFL. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Interesting, smooth lager. Nice aftertaste, easy to drink. With its amber chestnut colored good looks and smooth malty finish, Vienna Lager was an obvious choice to put into package. It blends color and flavor without heaviness or bitterness. Just as Vienna Lagers historically inspired Munich’s Oktoberfest beers to evolve, this amber lager has evolved since we opened in 2008 into the award winning beer it is today. Experience the taste and tradition. Mild, Toasted, Caramel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: AUG 21, 2017 A reddish copper Vienna with a thin off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light grassy German hops, light mineral notes, treacle, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt with light grassy German hops, light mineral notes, light treacle, very nice. Bottle at Lufthansa lounge, IAD terminal B. 7-3-8-3-14

This is a tasty Vienna. Aroma was a little weak. Could pick up some caramel in there but very faint. Pour was a beautiful light brown with a thin off white film for a head. Taste was a lot better than the aroma. Nice full flavored caramel flavor in the front and hints of toffee in the finish.
