As for one appreciating brown ales, I loved this. Bought a growler of it. Nice dark color. Holds a nice head. Not too bitter. Smells simple. Nice carmel, light chocolate taste. Slightly nutty. I really enjoyed this.
chocolate, roasty, brown, hazy, frothy, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, medium body, thin feel, lively, soft carbonation, Dogbrick (14326) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUL 31, 2017
Sample at the brewpub. Pours a dark brown color with some amber around the edges, and a medium off-white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Roast malt, chocolate and a touch of hops in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, roasted nuts and slight hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Slightly above average overall. Niko100 (3012) - Chicago, New York, USA - NOV 10, 2015

Smells of toffee maybe. Woodsy. Fruity. I can’t quite describe it. But it’s nice. I like it.
Taste is toffee, nutty. It’s bitter on the front, and slightly bitter at the end. It’s different. It’s good. I’m not really picking up a whole lot of cofee, but there is some caramel, or maybe honey.
It’s so very smooth, and bold. It’s also creamy. It’s remarkable really. I’d also say that ’s drinkable. It’s rare to find all of that in a beer. It’s a medium-light mouthfeel. It’s hard to describe really, because there’s so much going on there.
Overall, it’s great. Ba da ba ba bah, I’m loving it! My backyard brewer, knocking it out of the park. Good job! But seriously though, it’s better than I expected.
Light body, but with enough grainy sweet malt to get the job done. Solid brown. Would drink again if handed to me badgerben (5379) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - OCT 18, 2014
