Almost black, with a small tan head.
Slightly oily, chocolate, vegetal aroma.
Taste is lactic, chocolate malt.
Fairly bitter.....again, that oily, vegetable note comes through.
The scent is a little off-putting....the flavor is slightly better, but overall, not one I’d repeat. shrubber85 (11390) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - SEP 17, 2016
Bottle. Sour milk, coffee/chocolate malt, and straw aroma. Very dark brown with small brown head. Mildly sweet chocolate malt and moderately bitter ash/dry hay flavor. Okay body. A bit light but not bad. italarican (1550) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 19, 2016
Bottle JStax shared on the RBSG bus. Decided to rate because hey, he mentioned it was an Arkansas tick. Marketing works.

Overall: Nothing offensive but a bit thin for a porter.
Pours a thin, slightly watered down look of a dark brown, light off white head. Some nice roasted nuts notes, slight coffee. More heavy on cola notes in the finish. Sharp carbonation and surprisingly thin body. Too thin. Not bad overall.
Bottle shared. The beer is a dark brown with a beige head of foam. The aroma has ash and dark chocolate. Some earthy sweetness comes through a bit and dries out in the finish. Medium body and medium carbonation.

Pours a jet black with a thin white head. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, toffee, cream, and fruity hops. Flavor is chocolate and toast, subtle fruit. Has a thin but creamy body. Drinks like an oatmeal stout, oddly. Pretty good. crossovert (12877) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 26, 2015
355ml bottle. Brown pour. Cocoa and coffee notes a bit then but serviceable. Decent. Niko100 (2913) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 10, 2015

UPDATED: DEC 9, 2016 Re-rating this two years after the first time I had it.
Pours a mahogony brown color. Slow forming brownish colored head. Only about a half finger. Poor retention, poor lacing. This head is weird, as in bad. The head rests on top of the beer, but when you tilt the glass, the liquid rises above the head. I guess you can say it stays centeredmin the middle of the glass, instead of moving with the beer. It’s odd.
Aroma however is quite nice. Coffee, yes. Chocolate, yes. Caramel, yes. Dark roasted malts, yes. Also a little nutty. All of the characteristics that you expect from a porter are there and easy to find.
Taste is a little light and watery. Still, it follows the nose. Has everything you expect from a porter. It is also a little earthy, or woodsy. Maybe slight smoke taste. Coffee is probably the strongest flavor. However, it’s more like an after thought. Imagine instant coffee added to it right at the end, to get the flavor just right. Still, it’s tasty.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied. It’s pretty watery. Slightly bitter, a little slick. Smooth. Dry.
Overall, this is quite good. I wish it had better reviews, because it is better than what people are giving it. I would recommend it, and I will buy it again. It never disappoints. A nice porter!
