This lager is brewed in the classic Marzen/Octoberfest style. Aged cold for superior flavor & smoothness. A pleasant malty sweetness & smooth finish make this a perfect companion for cool autumn evenings. It’ll be available early to mid Fall.

Papsoe (25060) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 10, 2010
Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of byaeger. Pours a clear deep golden with an off-white head. Malty yet rustic aroma. Medium body, malts and caramel with an ashy edge. Dry and lightly biter finish. Drinkable but not quite an Oktoberfest. 100410

Soonah (1120) - Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA - DEC 9, 2009
From lithy via trade. Poured clear and dark copper with a short, white to off-white head. Minimal lacing. The aroma was malty, lightly spicy and a touch nutty. The flavor followed suit with some metallic notes towards the end. Thin mouthfeel and highly carbonated.

lithy (2996) - Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 1, 2009
Amber red, beige, dirty white, rocky head. Aroma is some grassy, herbal spiciness, typical bread, toast and caramel. Taste is buttery caramel, toasty with a good grassy hop bite in the finish.

Bottle. Dark amber to nearly gold colored brew with a thin off white head. The nose is sweet and grainy with hints of caramel and fall leaves. There is a little hint of bologna. The taste is largely cereal grains with a hint of caramel. There is a dry finish to this brew. Overall, not bad, it’s just a little light. This Rocktoberfest does not rock.

CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - FEB 27, 2009
Bottle courtesy of BMan1113VR: Pours a transparent copper amber with a thin, wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of sweet toasty caramel malts with some graininess. Body has good fullness and sweetness throughout with a touch of noble bittering hops before a drier bittersweet finish. A good attempt at the style, but could be a little smoother and more balanced.

Pours gold with a thin white head. Smells malty and sweet. Tastes biscuity with a nice breaddy finish.

Bottle thanks to BMan1113VR. Orange with a small white head. Aroma is basically malty and the taste is as well. Maybe a little caramel. Not very interesting.

2008 GABF. Clear amber orange. Malt acentuated aroma and flavor. Rather grainy octoberfest/marzen with touch of roastyness.

12oz last of my trade with BMan1113VR. Pours orange with a tan head. Nose is sweet light and malty. Taste is ok, bit of caramel here and there, just ok, not amazing, not terrible.
