4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
If you know your IPA’s you will appreciate this one. Does what most IPA’s only wish they could by giving you a big beautiful hops aroma and taste, but manages to have nice clean finish. Excellent balance. Big flavor yet highly drinkable. I don’t know how they did it. I think it might have made it’s way into my top three IPA’s. Maybe even my top ten beers.
Tap at GABF 2017 in Denver, CO. Numerical rating only - did not take detailed notes. oobawa (1747) - Tennessee, USA - MAR 25, 2017
Double IPA in bitterness only, lacking any big citric/herbal/floral hop flavors, instead offering up a massive caramel corn malt sweetness followed by biscuit-laced super-boozy finish. Vodka nose, vodka feel. At least it’s pretty? rondphoto (4494) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - FEB 22, 2017
on tap @ Diamond Bear / Little Rock AR --- Aroma of malt and rosin. Clear medium amber color, white head that slowly drops to a thin cover, bands of lace. Taste is caramel malt and citrus that floats easily through a medium carbonated swallow to a finish that has malt and hops sharing the stage. A solid IPA. Where is the 9.9%? Recommended. djd07 (15544) - Houston, Texas, USA - DEC 29, 2016
Tap at GABF. Pours a cloudy orange with medium off white head that lasts. The aroma is pine and bready malt. Medium body, toffee, grass, light bitterness, good. Palme (4824) - Bergen, NORWAY - AUG 3, 2016
Sampled from a 0.33l bottle @ Haandfest 2015, courtesy of Cunningham. This is a nice golden looking one, a mild blurry to it and lots of off-white lacings in the glass. Smells kinda sweet and a little grainy. Mild fruity also in a way. Yeah, a nice sweetness in the taste also. Sweet pale malts and a little alco burn toward the finish. How strong is this? Thin green yeasty also. Not bad actually these few drops. 30.05.2015

12 ounce bottle from martinvanbeer. Thanks! The beer is a clear coppwry orange with a fluffy white head of foam. Strong head retention. The aroma has notes of citrus, pine, resin, sweet vanilla. Fairly dry and herbal bitterness. Medium body, spritzy mouthfeel, higher carbonation. beer_rookie (665) - Arkansas, USA - JUN 2, 2016
12 oz bottle. Poured into weizen glass.bergstaden (3197) - Røros, NORWAY - NOV 30, 2015
Pours copper color. Decently carbonated. About two fingers tan head. Good retention, good lacing.
Aroma is super malty. Earthy and caramel. Maybe a touch of orange. Different than what I expected.
Taste is balanced, a little to the sweet side. There’s some hop bitterness, but they are late, they are spicy.
Palate is full bodied. Mostly sweet, a tad bitter. The spicy bitterness is really coming through on the finish. Quite sticky finish. Ten percent alcohol, where is it?
Overall, this really is a good DIPA. Different, but familiar. Oh yeah, I’d recommend this. I would buy it again.
Thanks cunningham for the taste - Golden with a white head - Some hops in the aroma - Malt body and hops with bitterness - Hops in the finish - This was nice crossovert (13914) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 27, 2015
