COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This was a limited run that quickly gathered a cult following of depraved devotees. So much so that we had to start making it all year long. Big flavor. Makes other beers taste like tap water. Beer Geek Note: We started using Warrior hops in this brew in place of Chinook.

From the bottle at SAVOR 2011. Pours a clear golden color with an average white head. A slight amount of lacing as it goes down before setting into a thin collar. The nose was really grainy with some slight citrus and floral hops in the background. Similarly, the taste was just overrun with grainy malt and bordered on being tannic. Body was medium and dry with some slight bitterness in the finish. I wasn’t a big fan. Serving type: bottle

Growler thanks to barzigkin. The smell is citrus, pine, caramel, hops, and fruits. The look is clear, golden in color, with a light beige head. The taste is hops, pine, slight fruits, and decent bitterness.

Appearance: Pours out a hazed, muted orange-hued body with an off-white (faintly yellowed) head.

Smell: Peppery notes and resiny hints integrated into a scent of orange marmalade atop the base maltiness yielding notes of bready pale malts, a little bit of golden syrup. Slight whiffs of alcohol, too.

Taste: Bready pale maltiness with a modest sweetness akin to treacle in the fore. Floral, citrusy hops, slightly resinous with a moderate degree of hop bitterness. As with the nose, a little alcohol showing. Dry, bitterish, citric finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium carbonation.

Overall: It’ll do in a pinch!

Cavie (4874) - Arlington, Texas, USA - FEB 5, 2010
Growler courtesy of our new friend BarZigKin. Clear orange color. White fizzy head. Large hop head right off the bat. Some edgy grains and light spice. Taste is hops and grain, molded plastic and punchy fruit. Strong but something on the finish holds it back. Best I’ve had from diamond bear however.

Palme (4856) - Bergen, NORWAY - AUG 3, 2016
Sampled from a 0.33l bottle @ Haandfest 2015, courtesy of Cunningham. This is a nice golden looking one, a mild blurry to it and lots of off-white lacings in the glass. Smells kinda sweet and a little grainy. Mild fruity also in a way. Yeah, a nice sweetness in the taste also. Sweet pale malts and a little alco burn toward the finish. How strong is this? Thin green yeasty also. Not bad actually these few drops. 30.05.2015

on tap @ Diamond Bear / Little Rock AR --- Aroma of malt and rosin. Clear medium amber color, white head that slowly drops to a thin cover, bands of lace. Taste is caramel malt and citrus that floats easily through a medium carbonated swallow to a finish that has malt and hops sharing the stage. A solid IPA. Where is the 9.9%? Recommended.

On tap at Keg and Barrel. Pours a hazy orange with a pretty thick white head. Aroma of sweaty hops, citrus, tropical fruits. Flavor of sweet fruits up front with sticky, resiny hops in the finish. Not overly sweet like some IIPAs and not too heavy either. I quite liked it; despite prior ratings I found it very palatable and flavorful. 7/4/8/4/14 (3.7/5)

HonkeyBra (4044) - Lemont, Illinois, USA - OCT 10, 2011
Sampled at GABF 2011. Pours an amberish orang with a small white head. Aroma has a lot of citrus and floral notes. Unfortunately, the flavor is cardboard and mild hops. Kind of flabby on the tongue. Oxidized for sure. Hard to put even my total 1 oz. pour back. This is sad because the aroma hinted at great things for this beer. I will re-rated if I get a better sample of this beer. This was very cool to try, though.
