If you know your IPA’s you will appreciate this one. Does what most IPA’s only wish they could by giving you a big beautiful hops aroma and taste, but manages to have nice clean finish. Excellent balance. Big flavor yet highly drinkable. I don’t know how they did it. I think it might have made it’s way into my top three IPA’s. Maybe even my top ten beers. onceblind (9662) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 29, 2013
Clear copperish gold with a persistent foamy white head. Nose is dank and earthy hoppy with a funky bitter pine/floral/grapefruit resin nose, also with a citrusy caramelly backbone. The flavor is full and wonderful with lots of unbitter grapefruit sweetness, some caramel, and resiny bitterness with some floral undertones. Ends a bit leafy and floral with a lovely resin aftertaste. handsomejn (77) - Arkansas, USA - NOV 30, 2009
UPDATED: JUL 7, 2012 Recipe tweaks since inception make this beer even better. Light copper color. White frothy head. Nice malty sweetness to offset the hoppy bitterness. Great finish with a pleasant aftertaste. Alcohol is not evident so beware. Travlr (24758) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 22, 2014
Draft at the source, new location. Hazy golden amber color, fluffy white head, lacey lacing (what else would the lacing look like? but that’s what my notes say, so it must have meant something to me at the time). Aroma of fruity pine. Taste has pine resin and bitter fruit. Nice body. Solid. BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - FEB 5, 2010
Growler brought back by BarZigKin, thanks! Pours with a large white head and clear copper-golden-amber body. Aroma is pine, herbal and orange light hops with a hint of pepper and caramel. Taste is alcohol, hops, citrus, caramel and a touch thin. Dry and tasty. Very drinkable DIPA. Their best beer!

As a double IPA, this is really great if you like this style. Very flowery smell. Almost over powering taste of hops. (thats a good thing!) Very nice light amber color and had a nice thick foamy head that held the entire time I drank it. Nice job!! Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - FEB 5, 2010
Thanks to barzigkin for sharing this growler.
Pours golden orange with a white head. The aroma is strong grapefruit with some pine and orange notes. The flavor is similar with strong grapefruit, orange and pine hop flavors as well as some nice hop bitterness. Thin-medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Growler thanks to me! Appealing clear, copper body with a bumpy off-white head that recedes quickly leaving some lacing. Light pine and floral hop notes on the nose. Piney, medium grapefruit and balanced malt flavors. Pleasant mild, lingering resin and citrus bitter finish. Medium mouthfeel. Almost medium body. Smooth and balanced overall. angrypirate06 (1388) - Texas, USA - FEB 6, 2010
Growler thanks to barzigkin. Light clear orange pour with virtually no head. Aroma is hops, pine, grass. Flavor is bitter, pine, nice astringency. Pleasantly bitter. CervezaCabeza (48) - Le Mans, FRANCE - NOV 19, 2013
One of my favorite double IPAs. Nicely balanced, aggressive ABV and hops without being over powering or compromising the citrus notes!
