Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver Muddy blond color with compact head. Solid beer, malt flavor with a light spicy yeast character, strong bitterness, and good Simcoe. A nice IPA for a meal, although I had fresher and fruitier beers in this category.
Draft @ Diamond Knot. Clear amber with a small off white head. Aroma of pine, citrus peel and cut flowers with a light sweet malt. Flavor is clean and bitter upfront with a light malt presence that fades in. Medium to light body with a dry mouth feel. Great beer, tasted fresh and was super drinkable.
Draft at the front st. Pours a clear medium amber with golden brown edges. Loose whitish head. Big fresh fruity nose, oranges and grapefruits. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Lightly toasted caramel with oranges and grapefruits over the top. Not bad at all, but falls somewhere between the explosive flavorfulness of a beer this big and the refreshment of a lighter beer, without quite taking advantage of either. Still, a very welcome pour.
