4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A real, full-on IPA. Very hoppy, and a very thick head. Really really malty as well. A little less carbonated as usual, which is probably why the head seemed thick. Had the 5X IPA on tap at The Harbour Public House on Bainbridge Island (across the ferry from Seattle).
Can from total wine and more, sarasota. Almost clear dark golden color, white head. Aroma has malty caramel notes, hops, some pineapples. Nice caramel malty body with crispy hops, pretty nicely balanced, some pineapple notes also in taste. shawnmurphy (673) - Plattsburgh, New York, USA - JUL 8, 2017
On tap at brewpub in Mukilteo, Washington. Pours slightly hazy orange-yellow with creamy off-white head and lacing. Aroma: caramel, citrus, pine. Flavor: blood orange, brown sugar, biscuit, wood, pine. Mouthfeel: medium-bodied, dry finish. Headbanger (4022) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - MAR 11, 2017
Old Notes-Pours amber with a small head. Aroma of hops and malt. Taste of the same with more citrus. This light to medium bodied brew is well balanced and tasty. Bulk_Carrier (6064) - Vermont, USA - MAR 6, 2017
Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a soft golden color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head, sly lacing.
The aroma had some sweet grapefruit, and then some caramel malt and herbal qualities. Light grassiness.
The flavor yielded to the malts and then some hop character makes a decent effort to balance. Crisp resin comes in a sly bitter fashion underneath. Some grapefruit to caramel malt aftertaste flows into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Decent carbonation. ABV felt fine as projected.
Overall, decent AIPA, maybe again if I saw it. Sledutah (7979) - Utah, USA - DEC 31, 2016

Pours clear golden with a medium sized white head, some lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, caramel and herbal. Flavor is grassy, malty, dusty caramel and resin, bitter and dry
Bomber from Total Wine, Gainesville. Pours golden with lots of carbonation. Small off-white head. Aroms of grapefruit, caramel malts, lemon. Flavor is grapefruit peel, pine, light tropical juicy fruits. Nicely balanced, unlike what I assumed in the aroma. Tasty. JorgeLee (2280) - Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 5, 2016
Bottle, picked up on Whidbey Island. Deep amber colour, white foam. Quite well balanced IPA, nicely malty with a big bitter hoppy pine finish. Looking at the stats seems to do well on flavour punch relative to stated IBUs etc. From my trip this was a pretty solid example of a PNW IPA. obguthr (6832) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - NOV 22, 2016
Mild lemongrass, vinegar nose. Clear amber, medium yellow head, good lace. Lemongrass, mild grapefruit. Medium body, easy carbonation. Fairly tame. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - OCT 16, 2016

Draft at The Irishmen in Everett Wa. Citrus and floral hops on the nose. A smooth, easy drinking IPA, creamy lactic mouthfeel. Restrained bitterness. Flowery.
