Draught @ WABF 2008. Rating #2600. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Malty floral hoppy aroma with some hints of citrus. Sweetish malty hoppy bitter flavor with some hints of caramel hints. Long hoppy bitter finish with a long bitter grapefeuit aftertaste. Skyview (6115) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - SEP 2, 2008
On draught at the brewpub in Mukilteo, Washington. Pours a clear copper amber brew with a creamy off-white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing and a white ring. Just a tad darker than the regular DK IPA. Aroma of light caramel malt, citrus zest, flowery and grassy hops and a touch of chocolate. Taste is medium bodied, lightly carbonated with flavors of caramel malt, some grapefruit and citrus zest and a touch of toffee. Finish has a mild bitterness that sticks to the caramel and grapefruit aftertaste. If you like more hops, try the regular IPA. If you enjoy a little more malt with the citrus hops flavor, the Industrial IPA is a good choice. SDbruboy (1863) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 16, 2008
On draft at brewpub. Arrives a medium orangey amber color with a thick and creamy off-white head that leaves nice lace. Good toasty malts, pine and florals in the aroma, with ripe fruit and a hint of burnt toffee. Flavor features just a bit of of chocolate malt roastiness, mingled with the toasty and caramel character, along with more evergreen and citrus hops, and some earthiness as well. Medium to full body, smooth and creamy carbonation. I liked this better than their regular IPA. Good IIPA and not overdone. Ty5592 (1024) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 28, 2008

Bit of must. Did it live up to reputation? Maybe. Very nice. Fairly light color - on side of gold. Solid IPA.

Growler. Poured a clear medium orange color. Head was off white. Fruity aroma reminiscent of cherry and orange. Dry on the tongue with citrus and toffee flavors and moderate hop bitterness. Decent. kmweaver (3208) - Petaluma, California, USA - APR 17, 2008
Growler, courtesy of after4ever. Thanks, Tom! Pours a slightly dulled golden-amber color; fluffy off-white head with fine-bubbled lacing. Solid amounts of chewy earthy hops, dried fruits, and a touch of brown sugar in the aroma; generous; a touch of pine. Relaxed carbonation. Nice zesty citrus and earthy hop character in a medium-to-full mouthfeel: creamy palate, soft piney and oily hops; very nice feel in the mouth; a touch of breadiness. Lengthy finish: sugar, resinous earthy hops and soft biscuity notes. mjtedin (8) - USA - APR 16, 2008 does not count
This is one of the finest IPA’s brewed in the Pacific Northwest. It has remarkable clarity, a beautiful golden color. The nose has plenty of spice, citrus and resin. I can’t wait to get it in bottles. mabel (10004) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 3, 2008
UPDATED: JUL 15, 2010 [1102-20080216] Tap @ Taphouse Grill (Seattle, WA). Hoppy grass aroma has notes of sweet navel orange and grapefruit peel. Clear, orange brown body with a quick foamy white head. Flavour is rather assertive with a hoppy bitter grass orange flavour and some leafy greenness. Medium body has a spice kick. Wow that’s hoppy, but not too balanced. (8/3/7/4/15) 3.7

[3055B-20100701] Tap. Mild rose raspberry hops aroma. Clear, medium orange body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Light yeast and grassy heather hops flavour has a long thick chocolate cocoa-infused hoppy aftertaste. Full body. Like the regular IPA but not as thin. (7/3/7/4/15) 3.6
