Deep amber brown. Aroma od caramel, nuts, light cocoa and lighter citrusy hops. Well put together from a complexity standpoint, as the flavor matches that, but it's a bit thin with a slight metallic overtone that kinda ruins it for me.

Bomber from Total Wine, South Richmond. Pours darker brown with a small off-white to beige head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, nuts. Flavor is caramel, browning leaves, burnt toast, nuts, dust. Fine.

Dark amber, unfiltered and strongly carbonated. Hops flavor up front, creamy medium body. Mildly bitter hops finish. Inoffensive yet lacking any memorable character.

Tap at Devil Craft Hamamatsucho, Tokyo. Clear amber with an off-white head. No lace or retention. Interesting earthy, tobacco-like vibe running through it. Other than that not a great deal going on. Pleasant enough though.

Draft pour at Frankies pizza. Pours a reddish orange color with a somewhat absent aroma. Flavor is a little nutty, with a malt forward taste. Slightly dusty finish. Not bad. Not great. Can’t complain on this one.

Deep copper and amber coloured body with a hint of ruby-tinted brown as well, all with a thinnish, two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, toasted malt, alcohol and a bit of nuts. Medium-bodied; Rich flavour of toasted malt, alcohol, grain, rye, nuts and heaps of caramelised sugars - very nice and pungent. Aftertaste shows a big malt character with hints of nuts and rye and some subtle sweetness to finish it off. Overall, a nice beer for the style with a little sweetness at the end - very rich as well. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 30-March-2014 for US$3,99 sampled at home in Washington on 19-August-2014.

Good. Nothing exceptional, but nothing not. Well balanced. Good malts; good hoppiness. Downside if anything is maybe a tad too watery. Wouldn’t mind more maltiness. But, overall . . . good.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Dark amber color, clean, with compact head. Caramel aroma, with a mild but interesting fruity side. Soft mouthfeel; strong caramel base, with nutty accent, moderate residual sweetness, light fruity touch; quite strong nutty bitterness too, and some hop resins in the final.
A well brewed beer, clean.
