glennmastrange (2859) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - MAY 29, 2015
Bottle. Moderate to heavy caramel for the malt, moderate cooked orange for the hops, dough for the yeast, with a note of date in the background. Head is small, frothy, white with a few spots of lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is hazy medium brown. Flavor starts moderately to heavily sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Palate is medium to full, oily, with a soft to lively carbonation. Heavier than an average DIPA, and a little sweeter than I like but still a tasty beer. slowrunner77 (11917) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 30, 2014
eh. this was a little on the thin and sweet side. left my wanting more bitterness, hop aroma and flavor. A BORING ODD AROMA, with a flavor that was simple, but better. decent balance but little hop authority." drpimento (3572) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 29, 2012
Great IPA! Poured slightly cold with a giant, foamy, frothy, fluffy, cream-colored head that lasts a long time and plenty of lace. Color is a hazy, medium amber with some tiny bubble trails. Aroma is an aromatic blend of hop, caramel, malt, fruit. Flavor’s like nose has hop bitter up front, followed smartly with caramel, toffee, malt, fruit sweetness and a little carbonation. Body is good with carbonation a tad light. Finish is like flavor, of average length, and very drinkable. Majin (256) - West Des Moines, Iowa, USA - DEC 23, 2012
You can definitely smell roasted, it through me off at first. Carries through to the after taste.overall a good beer, little odd.

pours a clear copper-amber with a small egg-shell head, and good lacing.
smell is of light grapefruit, caramel, roasted malt, hops, and citrus.
taste is creamy, hoppy, citrus, caramel, and bold malt. ends smooth and nicely bitter. killjoy966 (677) - Washington, USA - AUG 8, 2011
22 oz. from Chuck’s. Great IPA and different from the citrus ones I usually go for. Smells great, like fresh pine and resin. Super sticky lacing. This beer tastes so good and full. Another commenter hinted that the beer includes rye. If so, I’m a total convert. Another dastardly drink from Dick. rocbyter (2118) - Waterbury, Connecticut, USA - JUL 7, 2011
Mix of hops and malt in the aroma. Hazy red orange color with a small white head. Sweet beginning with a sharp bitter middle that fades in the finish. Hophead22 (2879) - Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA - MAY 3, 2011
22oz bottle. Rating #203. Dark amber/copper pour with a thin off-white head. Light pine and some decent citrus aromas going on here, although the are fading just a bit. A little sweet and medium bitterness that sticks to the tongue pretty good, nice IPA. (1705) deyholla (11503) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAR 5, 2011
Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a slight brown hue and a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is a combination of strong pine with a strong sweet grain and biscuit backbone. Flavor begins with sweet grains but has a growing pine backbone as well as a hint of grapefruit.
