COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Golden colored and crisp with the distinctive rye character. We combine the highest percentage of flaked rye possible with 2-row malted barley to extract the maximum rye flavor. We carefully sparge the mash and the boil the wort. We make three hop additions during the boil with an emphasis on balance in the finished beer

On tap at Dick’s, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma and flavour of floral notes, light spicy rye, and bready notes. Soft and well-balanced, but not very exciting. Meh.

A lovely, thick-looking, hazy, deep-yellow. A film of coarse white carbonation. Flavor is of barley nectar, grassy soil, light notes of mixed berry. Flavor is very interesting, morphing from a simple, light sweetness up front, to a punch of slightly zesty rye, then some herbal hop bitterness, transforming back into a long-term rye linger on the center of the palate. Cool flavor, despite the complexity, it’s still couldn’t be worthy of more than a 6 for the general enjoyment of the flavor. medium-light, body with subtle carbonation prickles.

smells sweet, crisp and a little fruity. pine colored with bubbly head. feels very creamy and thick in my mouth. flavor is grain heavy, not much hops in this brew (the little that there is shows up for a microsecond on the back end). If I had to describe the flavor by comparison I’d say that it tastes a little like a Coors or other macro brewed with better ingredients and in a smaller batch.

A decent offering, well worth the money and i’d possibly get it again. Just didn’t knock my socks off. Very crisp and refreshing, not what i expected in a rye pale, but a great session beer.

12oz bottle. Pours a lightly hazed gold color with a big white head. Coriander and citrus in the nose, a little over carbonated. Light sour notes, reminded me of a tasty Berliner!

Bottle: Faded copper color with a thin sandy head. Not much going on in the nose, mostly sweet and malty. Tastes sweet with earthy and floral bits. There is a little dry note and finishes into the rye portion of the flavor. Lingering bitters are dry, floral, and grassey. Interesting combination.

Light copper with bright white head. Aroma of grain and spice. Flavor I really don’t get any rye bummer. Nice light almost farmhouse type beer.

Light straw-amber, white head, clean and clear, fines bubbles. Aroma of sour dough, with a hint of earth, some pineapple and orange. Taste is initially bitter and grassy, then subtle tropical fruits and honey in the mid-palate, finish of light peppered grain and pine hops. I find the palate on this one a little light and watery, but the beer is crisp and pleasing.
