Leicht oxidierter Start mit mild dunkelmalzigen Noten. Dunkel bleibend, gering hefig, passende Trockenheit. Wenig herb, nur sehr leichte Karamellnoten. Zum Ende noch stärker karamellig werdend, milde Bitterkeit, süffig. Vielen Dank an Grima für das eingestellte Bier! 9/9/9/10/11/10
BB 07/2002 Sehr dunkel braune Farbe, geringe feine beige Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, reife Früchte, leicht muffig, leicht oxidiert. Geschmack sehr weich, viel Karamell, Vanille, süß röstmalzig, gering hopfig, richtig gut! Erzengel (8704) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - FEB 18, 2015
Old bottle, best before 07.04. Smooth malty nose. The beer starts malty-fresh, hints of smoke. Dry malt, hints of roast, fresh. Dry with still malty sweetness. Full malty body with a rich, smooth taste. The malty dryness gets a nice robust contrast to the sweetish malt. Nice bitterness, smooth, easy to drink, nice. Thanks erzengel for this oldie! Pours a amber brown color with a light tan head. The smell is rich dark fruit, caramel, touch of alcohol. The taste is roasted major, caramel, rich dark fruit. The body is a bit thin yet lily with light carbonation. Amazing considering the age. MichaelAwesome (6519) - Wanne-Eickel, GERMANY - AUG 3, 2012
0,33 l bottle. A beer I remember very well. Dark in colour with a lot if different aroma in. Lots of malt, bitter and with a dark soul. Only the name didn’t match the taste. Would like to drink it again.

The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Hoppy-dry aroma. Starts mild-malty, the middle is more roasty, burnt, scratchy. The finish is well balanced, modest malty. Okay, but not more. TheBeerLover (1027) - DC Metro Area, USA - FEB 2, 2006
A slightly bigger version of Diebles Alt, and their version of "sticke" or secret beer. Bigger in flavor and alcohol, and a decent example of stickebier, but like Diebels Alt, not a classic example of the style. Pours to a deep copper color, with a tight white head that fades, and a moderate to soft carbonation. The nose has some nice herbal hop aromatics, with some sweet malt aroma. Body is a little slicker on the tongue than altbier, and has a touch more sweetness, and a hints of dark toast. Finishes with more malt up front, then ends with a quick snap of herbal hop bitterness. A good beer, worth trying if but once. Hildigöltur (5104) - København, DENMARK - MAR 24, 2004
Dark brown coloured. Sweet and malty with roasty notes. Slightly one-dimensional. Ungstrup (37561) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAR 23, 2004
A red brown beer with a small disappearing head. It has no aroma at all. The flavor is sour malty with notes of roasted bread - if this weren't German I'd bet there had been used brewing cereal in it - a boring German Ale.
