Couleur doree avec un col blanc resistant. Aromes de levure pils, agrumes, cereales, epices. Respectable!

5.4% bottle from depanneur As. It pours a very pale lightly cloudy straw gold. It has a huge juicy citrusy grapefruit aroma with a bready/crackery pilsner malt. Soft mouthfeel and medium body. Very pleasant bitter citrus grapefruit flavor with a solid malt backbone.

Draught @ BarVolo, Toronto Hazy, bitter, not too heavy. Pretty nice, but nothing spectacular. Also think pilsners should be clear.

On tap at DDC, honey gold color, with a white head, mild herbal floral hoppy nose, with some faint fruity notes and light cereal wheat, pale, pilsener malt accent in the aroma folows through on a medium-bodied palate with a crsip flowery leafy, grassy, citrus hop character, no tropical fruit hoppiness here, characteristic of new world cultivars, with some lemon, lime peel, lemon pie, piney flavour, within a faint grainy honeyed pale, wheat, pilsener, toasted malt undertone, leading towards a good leafy, grassy, citrus hop bittering finish.

My Bottom Line :
Tropical fruit and coniferous hop resins join this IPL’s lush flavor profile, providing plenty of flavors for one to hang onto.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A sheet of foam tops the misty blond.
-A full pint is not necessary. The flavors are quite intense.
-The alcohol might not be that high, but the flavor level is that of an Imperial Pale Ale at times.
-Wheat and barley malt show up here and there.
-The finish is nicely bitter.
-Drinkability could have been higher.

On tap at the brewpub.

On tap @ DDC. Almost clear golden amber with a medium persistent white head and some lacing. Aroma is of dank hops, cereals, fruity notes and light sweetness. Taste is moderately sweet with cereals, malt, fruits and an hoppy finish. Light to medium body. Moderate carbonation. Clean, crisp and oily mouthfeel. A tad too sweet, but tasty and drinkable aplenty.

On tap at DDC 15th anniversary. Light haze, amber-gold pour with white head. Nice hoppy aroma, fruity australian hops, quite dank actually. Bitter flavor, crisp maltiness, very hoppy finish, oily. Definitely an IPL, you wouldn’t know it was a lager if they didn’t tell you. Quite tasty though.

On tap at Dieu du Ciel. Pours a cloudy dirty light brown with a thick white head. Aroma of lots of spices, ranch dressing, oregano, peppers, rosemary, others I can’t quite identify. Flavor of bready malt, lots of spices as above, light fruits. Very smooth, creamy palate. Excellent pils, so complex, extremely drinkable. 9/4/8/5/16 (4.2/5)
