341 ml bottle from Broue Ha Ha, served cold in a tulip glass. DYCSoccer17 (3705) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 2, 2005
App.: Clear golden-amber with a so-so off-white froth.
Aroma: Strong, rich biscuit malt, somewhat fruity and deep, light caramel notes, grassy hops, peppery, floral and perfumed, clean, rich and deep.
Palate: Medium+ body, moderately full effervescence, slick and smooth.
Flav.: Quite perfumed, floral, somewhat spicy, alcohol, deep, rich biscuit and caramel, strong malts and strong hops in harmony; sweet with good bitterness and a long, lingering bitter biscuit finish with some nice perfumed top notes.
Now I now why God rested on the 7th day.
Draft at Mondial 2005. Very hoppy aroma with citrus notes present. Perhaps I can smell some nobles and Saaz with some boozy undertones as well. I detect a tad of sulfur as well. Moderately hazy orange-honey color with an off-white head. Quite sweet to start with honey notes turning more grainy and quite cereal like. More sweetness in the finish. Moderately cloying. Alcohol is hidden well. SpringsLicker (3663) - Tennessee, USA - JUL 16, 2005
RBSG on tap at DDC
Large creamy white head that floats on a sparkling clear deep gold body.
Light malt in the aroma and a bit of piney hops.
The flavor is mostly sweet from start to finish. Not too shabby if a brewer’s worst beer is a 3.4 don’t you think?? cfrancis (3535) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 4, 2011
Pours an amber gold with a thin white top. Aroma is malt and a nice floral hop. Taste is a bold blast of floral hops backed with a great caramel malt flavour. Excellent beer. beerbuzzmontreal (3487) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 13, 2004
Nice golden color with a white medium head. Impressive aroma of spicy hops and malt. Great, explosive flavor of malt and spicy hops. Bitter finish. Very full body, medium carbonation. What is nice is that you don’t feel the alcohol even if it’s 7,5%. Excellent, well balanced beer.

Originally rated November 2008. Enjoyed at the brewpub itself. Poured a golden-copper colour with a small white head that left a ring of lace. Hardly any carbonation. The nose was quite hoppy with some grain malts in the background. Watery mouthfeel. The taste had this very bitter hop resulting in some dryness in the back of the throat, and some wetness at the tip of the tongue. Overall, quite a kick of hoppy flavours. Very interesting style, that I am trying for the first time. Probably, could not enjoy two in a row of these though. Reynolds314 (3470) - Connecticut, USA - APR 4, 2013
Not really my cup of tea here. Smells pretty decent with light hops and caramel sweetness. Taste is very malt liquoresque with just tons of sweet corn type flavors. meh. Minderbinder (3469) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 27, 2012
Pours clear golden with low off-white head. Good lacing. Aroma is of citrus, fruits (tropical), alcohol. Taste is of citrus, pine, fruits. Somewhat bitter, but well-balanced. Interesting body. Overall: Very good. Very drinkable for the abv. So watch out. rederic (3341) - montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 28, 2005
Amber orangeish color, with a soft foamy white head, leafy, pale malt, hop flower aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with crystal malt, leafy, grassy, having a touch of alcoholic warmth, in a good bittering hops finish. Quevillon (3155) - Boisbriand, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 30, 2006
Bu au Mondial de la Bière 05. Forte, mais assé délicieuse, sucré et un petit peu réfréchissante.
