Clear golden with a thin head. Aroma is sweet malt, herbs, honey floral notes and fruits (mostly citrus). Flavor is floral with sweet malt, honey, alcohol, citrus and a bitter sweet aftertaste. Oily mouthfeel. Miguel (1181) - Saint-Ours, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 4, 2005
Mondial de la Bière de Montréal 2005. Robe blonde-dorée. Alcool tout en douceur. Beaucoup de malt, beaucoup de houblon. Très bien. OKBeer (1171) - Halifax, Nova Scotia, CANADA - JUL 12, 2005
2005 RBSG Montreal Saturday. Golden amber colour with a fizzy and frothy white head. Aroma was peachy, citrus, and caramel. Fruity, caramel, and grapefruit flavours with a citrus and alcohol finish. Medium bodied, rich. HeistAlmighty (1156) - Saint John, New Brunswick, CANADA - DEC 16, 2012
341ml bottle. Pretty standard beer look, gold/amber, filtered, moderate white head. Aroma and taste are mostly hay and grapefruit hops. Body is pretty average, maybe a bit more oily than some. Overall, more hop bitterness in this than I was expecting for the style, but that was not unwelcome. Crockett (1117) - Southampton, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 27, 2005
Deep clear gold pour with a medium sized creamy foam head. Nose of clean hop and caramel. Not malt liqour-like. Chocolate, nutty biscuit malts. Tasted fresh bread. A slight grit. Some burnt notes and light medicine hop. Comes out with heavier caramel and molases burnt sugar bitterness in the end.

341ml bottle. Pours clear light amber with a finger of white head that wastes away to a ring pretty quick. There’s a real sweet impression with some grain and a nice noble hop sort of character. A little rough on the palate with a full body and fair booziness. That same sweet impression manifests on the palate with a bit of grain and a fair hop presence. dandeman (980) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 26, 2012
Aroma: Alcohol is sticking out at first with notes of cereal. After we get the malted notes of sugar cane, caramel and cherry and blackcurrant that are coating it all. Kind of a good complex nose that is sticking out just right.
Appearance: Creamy average head, sticking to glass and leaving a fair lacing. Gold color and average sparkling.
Taste: Delicacy and ’’finesse’’ would be the words to describe the attack, with notes of caramel, cherry and blackcurrant. Very malty attack. This would be the perfect example of a full creamy body. Notes of cereal like barley and oatmeal are also present. Finish is subtly hoppy which makes it a characteristic superior quality pilsner. MJGG (952) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 14, 2008
draft during RBSG visit, weak malt aroma with hints of apricot and toast coming from a cloudy orange body with a off white head. lots of sweet caramel malts in the flavor, bits of toast again and some honey and grass at the end. a very easy to drink beer with a sweet malty finish and a medium body. Bottle 341 ml. Bought at Peluso (Montreal). Served in Lager glass. Pours crystal clear golden with meium frothy white head. Nice lacing. Aroma: citrus, pine, pilsner malt and hops. Taste: caramel, citrus, hops, malt, hints of alcohol. Really interesting beer, another good one from DDC!
