Pours clear and yellow/amber. Rather sweet aroma and slight dried hay/cereal.sweet cereal taste with a boozy kick in the mid palate and a slight hoppy note. I don’t often drink pilsner, but when I do let it be this good. HeistAlmighty (1156) - Saint John, New Brunswick, CANADA - DEC 16, 2012
341ml bottle. Pretty standard beer look, gold/amber, filtered, moderate white head. Aroma and taste are mostly hay and grapefruit hops. Body is pretty average, maybe a bit more oily than some. Overall, more hop bitterness in this than I was expecting for the style, but that was not unwelcome. DYCSoccer17 (3708) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 2, 2005
Draft at Mondial 2005. Very hoppy aroma with citrus notes present. Perhaps I can smell some nobles and Saaz with some boozy undertones as well. I detect a tad of sulfur as well. Moderately hazy orange-honey color with an off-white head. Quite sweet to start with honey notes turning more grainy and quite cereal like. More sweetness in the finish. Moderately cloying. Alcohol is hidden well. muzzlehatch (4969) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 7, 2005
Sample at the Mondial. Bright, cloudy orange-gold, thick white head of moderate duration...lightly fruity/malty nose, melon and dry grass...big malty flavors, light alcohol, sweet and a bit syrupy, grainy and with strange hints of licorice, herbal/grassy hops subdued to the rather thick mouthfeel which dries out considerably at the finish. Seems a bit oxidized to me, but still worth a try. rederic (3344) - montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 28, 2005
Amber orangeish color, with a soft foamy white head, leafy, pale malt, hop flower aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with crystal malt, leafy, grassy, having a touch of alcoholic warmth, in a good bittering hops finish.

Pour is orangey amber with a thin off white head...smell is malty sweet but yeast and hops came out as it warmed...taste was sweet biscuity malt and a sweet alcohol finish...syrupy sweet... jsquire (4599) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - JUL 28, 2005
On tap at the pub during the RBSG. Clear golden color with a syrup sweet malt nose and a thin, off white head. Big candi sugar, caramel sweetness flavor with overripe oranges and some peach. Noticably big beer. left_bank (106) - JAPAN - SEP 14, 2012
@ 8.9%,this beer was a bit too high in alcohol for my beer taste!
amber color with a white head that lasts well until you(i was) all drunk .malt flavor is dominant. mathieuc (4000) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 29, 2012
Thin, fluffy head that does leave some lacings. Aroma is herbs and hay, unknown hops. Taste/mouth is where it gets interesting. Heavy oily feel on the tongue with a robust hop bittterness and an alcohol bite, just a little. Some grapefruit (?) flavor also make an appearance. Interesting to say the least, you should drink this colder than most beers as it is just more balanced that way. asheft (3108) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 10, 2012
Spicy melanoidin malt and fruity hops along with a background of sweet malt. Slightly hazy gold under wispy white top and ring. Sweet base malt with some sweet herbal and fruity hops flavour: apricot. Very good bitterness to balance the sweet. Faint cardboard note. Medium body, medium carbonation, fruity and faint bitter finish.
