COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Black ale with aromas and flavours of vanilla, dark chocolate, bourbon and roasted malt. The vanilla and cocoa marry nicely, without out-competing each other, to produce a surprisingly well balanced beer. This beer is mildly hoppy, but the cocoa introduces a touch of bitterness. Its colour may be intimidating, but it is a very smooth beer within reach of most beer drinkers. This highly appreciated dessert beer is brewed with organic fair-trade cocoa and first rate vanilla beans.

A dark beer drinkers dark beer. Complex, smooth, completely enjoyable. Strong enough to stand up to heavier meals but the flavor profile fits desserts equally well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap @ Både &, Kristiansand. Black body with a big, stable, dense, lacing beige head. Looks amazing! Strong and very nice aroma of dark malt, coffee, mocha and some vanilla. Flavor is super smooth dark malt, coffee, cocoa powder, chocolate, and well balanced bitterness. Medium sweetness in balance with dry cocoa powder. Very good balance in flavors here, and nicely balanced body with a long lasting, smooth tasty aftertaste. Very pleasant indeed.

[email protected] Arms Savoy - Black pour with tan head. Sweet and roasted malty with opulent chocolate and caramel, some fudge, hoppy support, nice bourbon accents into the malty close.

Svart med svært tykt mokkafarget skum som ligger. Lukter engelsk lakris og solbær vingummi. Lett. Smaker melkesjokolade og lett bitter kaffe. Middels lang.

Pours an oily black with a thin, dark tan head. The aroma is big on vanilla, with licorice, chocolate, roasted malt, and hints of coffee. The taste has a mild sweetness as well as some bitterness. Coffee and vanilla flavors stand tall. Its still roasted, though I get a slight earthiness now as well. Very easy whiskey flavor. Chocolate is lighter, though its the constant in this one as it extends into a long aftertaste. Medium in body, chewy in texture, and soft in carbonation. This is very good.

At the brewpub. Black with tan foam and medium body. Vanilla and coffee nose, taste has a lot of rich chocolate.

Bottle thanks to wombat23. Black with a frothy tan head that lingers. Aroma is vanilla, chocolate, freshly baked cake. Taste is sweet, full of vanilla. The cacoa becomes noticeable at the finish, which goes down bittersweet full of dark chocolate and birthday cake. Body is medium with a mild, understated carbonation. The strong birthday cake note puts the beer into a niche for me, it's not everyday drinking. Good stuff nonetheless.

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. Drukket på Bergstua 15 Sep 17. Svart. Mokkafarget lavt skum. Litt lacing. Aroma av melkesjokolade. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Smaken sjokolade. Blir tørr etter hvert. Litt uvariert.

Bottle. The colour is deep reddish brown to black with a small beige head. Sweet aroma of chocolate cake, coffee, ash and vanilla. The flavor is similar with more dark chocolate, coffee, burned wood and vanilla in the background. Slightly sour. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and a medium bitterness. Filled with chocolate, tasteful and well-balanced.
