COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Black ale with aromas and flavours of vanilla, dark chocolate, bourbon and roasted malt. The vanilla and cocoa marry nicely, without out-competing each other, to produce a surprisingly well balanced beer. This beer is mildly hoppy, but the cocoa introduces a touch of bitterness. Its colour may be intimidating, but it is a very smooth beer within reach of most beer drinkers. This highly appreciated dessert beer is brewed with organic fair-trade cocoa and first rate vanilla beans.

Bottle @ Den stive jyde fra Skives shop, Odense. Pours pitch black with a small creamy head and lacings. Lots of Belgium chocolate. Reminds me of Rogue chocolate stout. A bit of vanilla. Smooth and easy. Ends dry and bitter. Its good . . . But not the best stout out there!

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2013 330mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out loads of vanilla upfront, followed by sweetened cocoa. Flavour is very much the same, with a wonderful balance between the vanilla and cocoa. Very soft and delicate on the palate - certainly not a robust stout, but more like soft, velvety one with more delicate flavours. Wonderfully crafted.

355ml bottle (Pikkulintu, Helsinki)
Aroma or vanilla and chocolate. Whisky or bourbon taste, and cocoa. Roast and bitter aftertaste which might give some hint of beer. Doesnt have enough beer in it to be a stout, this is instead more of a gimmick with all its annoyingly fashionable additives.

Bottle from ericandersnavy. Thanks man! Pours really dark with a slight tan head. Really rich dark toast aroma. Near full bodied with creamy carbonation. Flavor is smokey, toasty malt and chocolate. It is like candy, except its not all that sweet. Seems pretty well balanced. Theres a strange pervading flavor - think its vanilla. Not a problem. Whatever it is, it blends in well. Very nice. Finishes towards chocolate.

Bottle from Keg Liquor. Poured black color with medium creamy tan head that lasted with excellent lacing. Aroma is very complex with roasted malt, vanilla and bourbon. Full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Moderate to heavy chocolate bittersweet flavor and moderate to heavy complex dark sweet bourbon finish of long duration. Standout complex beer for dessert or with a cigar.

Bottle poured a clear dark brown nearly black with a lasting brown head. Aromas of milk chocolate, vanilla, light roastiness and light coffee. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of milk chocolate, vanilla, roastiness and a hint of esspresso with a smooth dry lingering milk chocolate finish. Very tasty dessert beer would go great with a great chocolate cream pie.
