@Mondial de la Bire 2012, Montreal - cloudy copper-amber beer under a long lasting beige foam; shows a strong flowery hoppiness with notes of wood and almonds; quite full-bodied; assertive; fairly bitter and slightly astringent; long flowery hoppy finish; quite dry and with lingering fruity tones too

On tap at the brewpub. Bombastic hop-stinky lupulin juice nose. Wild and unabashed. Flavors hold it tight with the balance of green gold and malt sugar. Electric and enamoring. The strength of the base upholds a rich and delicate grapefruit, orange, spice and pine hop flourish. A fantastic drinkability lies beneath a quenching bitter turn. A very nice small IPA.

Draft at Dieu du Ciel. Offered as a session IPA. Pours gold, hazed with white head. Nose is earthy and woody, simcoe like. Some citrus and toast. On tasting, medium bodied and clean, medium bitterness and big woody hops. Great beer.

[4449-20120607] Tap. Woody orange stem hops aroma has a kick of smoked floral wood. Hazy, brown amber body with a quick foamy off-white head. Muted citrus peel wooden hops flavour has a bitter wood aftertaste. Medium-full body. Quite a tasty bitter. (8/3+/8/4/17) 4.0

On tap at Dieu du Ciel prior to our trip to the ice cider Mondial. Pours a clear pale amber with a thin white head. Toast, chewy malt, and big earth on the nose. Earthy and chewy with sweet malt notes. Hops, caramel, a touch of nutty malt. Long smooth earthy malt.

Very fresh juicy hop aroma, very very green. Juicy body, light carb. Big citrus finish, but the bitterness is light and pleasant. A sessionable hop heads dream. If ou like big juicy green hops. Almost herbal hops.

En ft au Mondial de la Bire de Montral 2012. Contrairement aux info de ce site, Dieu du Ciel la nomme American IPA et elle tire 6,8%. Couleur ambre, brune. Arme de caramel, herbes, houblon frais. En bouche, houblon, herbes, citrus, malt. Finale amre. Excellente.

Sample at dieu du ciel, lightly malty, herbal and grassy hops, strong but soft bitterness, a fine above average ipa without going crazy
