Brewed only once a year to keep you warm during the cold winter months, the Blanche Neige ( Snow white ) isnt your typical wheat beer. Firstly, the level of alochol is surprising and is perceived rapidly both in the bouquet and in the mouth. The spices come through immediately, giving very little room for the usual wheat beer aromas (coriander and curaao). Cinnamon and clove dominate and the flavours are generously well-rounded thanks no doubt to residual sugars. It is therefore a very sweet beer that is best appreciated slowly.

Pours a small layer of white foamy head and has a yellow coppery appearance. Pretty good lacing. Aromas are very yeasty, malty has notes of bananas and floral scents. Mouthfeel is somewhat sweet. Medium carbonation. Flavours are also quite yeasty with floral hops and grainy malts. sort of wheaty with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Some mild spices as well. Pretty sweet tasting. Good for as a taster but not a continuous chugger.

Had a bottle on 3.29.14. This is pretty solid. Smell is spices and cinnamon and vanilla. Flavor is all of those spices plus some sweetness and coriander. Not bad!

Aromas of Banana Bread, orange blossom, clove and cinnamon. Tastes of Clove, citrus, slight wheaty banana, cinnamon and sweet candy which is cut by a short zap of bitterness. Alcohol is well hidden. Good Beer.

Pours amber with a fading head. Nose shows cinnamon, cloves, candied orange, soft wheat. Very strong spices. Loads more spices as flavours, close to overpowering. Some soft malt in there.

Gift from Lisa and Craig. Lovely aromas of bananas, cinnamon, and clove. Brownish yellow colour, opaque. Off-white small head. Banana and wheat flavours, with prominent cinnamon and clove. Lingering cinnamon aftertaste. Quite nice.

Cloudy golden colour with small soapy off-white head. Sweet and spicy aromas, with banana bread, strong cinnamon, cloves, a little grassy hops and some booze. Very strong cinnamon and clove straight up in the taste, then the sweet banana bread enters too, before a little grass kicks in before finishing back where we started with the cinnamon and cloves again. Medium bodied. Really enjoyable.
