Pours cloudy amber with good head. Very strong aroma of alcohol - any hopes are difficult to detect. Tastes like gasoline - The 8.5% alcohol is not subtle at all despite other brews with higher alc content that do mask it well. Extreme on the alcohol. If there was a Triple IPA, this might be it. Smells of pine and honey. In the mouth, the hops are wrapped up in a sweet and syrupy character, cushioning the bitterness. Pine and citrus (orange) from the hops -- soapiness is thankfully avoided. Mouth feels clean and fresh afterwards. Very well rounded and uncommonly drinkable IPA... Minus a tick overall for its price. yrstruly (333) - Guelph, Ontario, CANADA - APR 10, 2013
Pours hazy red-gold with a frothy white head. Aroma is of fruity and piney hops. Taste is lightly malty and extremely hoppy from start to finish. This could almost do with a bigger body to balance out the extreme bitterness. There is a slight metallic edge to the taste that I don’t like. I would like to try this on tap. hangunder (305) - Ontario, CANADA - APR 10, 2013
Aroma is subdued citrus and malty sweetness. Clear copper colored and thick white head that lasts a long time. Pretty beer. Mild floral and piney hops upfront, sweet malt in the middle and alcohol/hop bitterness to finish. Fairly light bodied with the stated dry aftertaste. Hop extremism doesn’t come through as much here as in many west coast IPAs, but it’s an interesting take on a DIPA. Freaky_tiki (1250) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 6, 2013
A bit & twist on the tongue that will stay with you for awhile. Great for supping’ on while slopping mop sauce on baby back ribs over the BBQ. Reach for another if you wanna get tight like that.

(347mL bottle from LCBO) A clear pale amber beer with a small white head that left a lot of lace. Aroma is lemon and orange peel, flowery hops, grainy caramel malts, slight herbal soap? Reminds me a fair bit of iced tea, for some reason. On the palate, orange leads into fairly sweet caramel malts, bready, complex, bit of pine, citrus juice and a particular flavour of candy I can’t place as the hops start to take over with a slightly floral, tinny and astringent quality. Finishes dry, lightly bitter and, again, rather like an iced tea. I can’t seem to shake that reference throughout the beer. Body is moderate, slightly oily, carb soft, booze hidden. It’s not bad, but doesn’t have the big hop aromas or bitterness of a great DIPA. Very balanced, interesting malts, a little more English than west coast - quite DDC I guess! 341 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a clear golden orange with sticky white head. Aroma is sweet candied fruit, flowers, tropical fruit, caramel and peppery spiciness. Flavour is sweet, candyish fruit, caramel, toasty grains, floral and citric hops and some lightish pepper. Drying finish. Delicate carbonation. Big and rather impressive. neuromatt (1225) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 22, 2013
On tap at the Dieu du Ciel tap takeover at WVRST in Toronto, served in a tulip. Pours clear amber with a medium frothy tan head. The nose has big fresh citric hops, along with flowers, caramel and tropical fruit. The flavour is moderately sweet with a touch of bitterness. There is a load of caramel, along with candy, tropical fruit, bubblegum, slight grain and a slight hint of earth. The finish is long, peppery and hoppy with a fruity overtone. On the palate, it is medium with a smooth, creamy texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this is a decent double IPA, but a little too sweet and short on hop nose and bitterness. 2012-06-19 Viper666 (3287) - Richelieu, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 14, 2013

Could be an older bottle, but that doesn’t usually bother me too much with these malt forward DIPAs. Pours a hazy orange with some creamy, lacing white head. Nose of tropical fruits, candy sugar, pineapple, orange peel, a little leather, pine wood shavings, soap. Flavor is sweet, malty, orange, soapy, pine, tropical fruit, candy sugar. Full, sticky finish. Not the freshest, but still tasty.
