OK stout, yes there is rhubarb there, but I do not know how the two work together, at least in this cask at cask days.

(cask) clear very dark brown colour with a medium tall brown head; aroma of fruit, then roast; balanced, refreshing flavour with a short, tart and bitter finish

Version 7,2% (1957-080916)

My Bottom Line:
Deeply roasted cereals delve into rhubarb juice and its fruity tartness for a unique tasting experience.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the brown-edged black.
-This isnt nitroed, which is surprising for a DDC Stout.
-Mouthfeel is very pleasant; not too sweet, not too lean.
-Dark malts build chocolatey flavors as well.
-Rhubarb really stands out the more you down your glass.

On tap at the Montreal location.

Dguste en ft la source. Noire noire noire. Cest vraiment trs fonc.

Deep black color, with a creamy tan head, with a mild earthy grind coffee bean, vegetable floral leafy, grassy hop nose with a light chocolate baking bar, faint acidic fruity rhubarb accent, and a roasted, chocolate, toasted malt note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a smooth black coffee, subtle sharp vegetal fruity rhubarb acidity character, with some roasted, chocolate, toasted malt, faint dark bitter chocolate flavours, leading towards a nice roasty bitterness finish.

Interesting brew ! Pours a deep burnt umber with khaki foam. Nice chocolate roast up front with layers of earthy malt, bakers chocolate, light acidity from the rhubarb keeps the flavor interesting and unique, almost fresh coffee like but a bit more citrusy and vegetal ! Unique.

[Draught at Mondial 2014, Montreal] Pours a very dark brown, almost black, with an average size semi-lasting frothy beige head and lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt first and foremost followed by chocolate and rhubarb. Flavour: Wow, thats nice: Roasted malt along with an interesting fruit flavour, its kind of tart or something, hard to describe but I like it. Average bodied. Really good and interesting.

The base stout is quite nice. Upfront roasty malts, notes of cocoa, coffee, you know.....a well made stout. Ok, now in comes the rhubarb. I dont find its adding much to the aroma, or flavor, but it is adding some tartness that is quite interesting in the aroma and finish.
