Bon travail DDC!

Bright yellow with some floaties. Aroma is mild with a bit of kumquat. The taste features far more of the kumquat but with a bitter, tart finish.

Draft... Hunahpus Day 2016 Pours clear and golden with a small, creamy, white head. Fruity kumquat nose. Medium to full-bodied with dancing carbonation. The flavor is fruity and precisely hopped. Nice balance. Lengthy, moderately bitter finish. Pretty good stuff.

11.5oz bottle. Antiquated caramel malt IPA base. Big kumquat puree or something notes. I mistook this as a Berliner Weisse, otherwise I might have passed on it for age reasons. Full bodied. Decent depth. OK.

Pours gold with a large head. Nose shows citrus pith, pine, soft bready malt and herbal notes. Flavours include more citrus pith and a herbal-like astringency along with a bit of clean malt.

I had expected this kumquat-IPA to be much more refreshing, summerly, light, even tart. Should drink it again when fresh - this bottle had been filled almost a year ago. An old age for an IPA, although with no detectable bbd on it...and for this, there still is a lovely kumquat nose. Taste however is more on the malty-sweet side, not at all cloying or overly sweet, just quite malt-forward, still harmonious, but with maybe not a lot of the once shining hops left.

Pours a hazy amber body with a medium head. Fresh hoppy aroma of summer fields. Taste is creamy hops with a subtle bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
