Redish, clean ale with an almost overwhelming hop bitterness. Too much for my taste but still a very well made beer. The flavour profile was heavily accented on the bittering hops, almost no aroma to speak of. There is definitely no smoked malt in this beer. Fumistrie refers to the hemp spicing of the beer (which is probably what is providing the biting bitterness). SimonPatrice (312) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 28, 2002
Reddish amber. Roasted, smokey, nutty, malty. Slightly bitter/burnt finish. MartinT (9880) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 5, 2002
UPDATED: OCT 2, 2007 A subtle mist of nut bread envelops the dawn in hemp fields galore…Breathe deeply and you’ll get those supporting hops…A good session hemp beer, whether from the tap or from the bottle…

Amber coloured. Medium bodied, fruity (mango!), some late bitterness. Kaya161 (1139) - San Diego, California, USA - JUN 18, 2001
Nice amber/red colour. Light hemp aroma. Slight candy/fruit start with a quick finish. Hemp undertones and finish. No hop flavour here. Ropey.

Amber malts, touches of hemp; dry character and lots of crystal malt; crisp bitterness underneath. Good balance and more hemp than most of this type.
