Pale blonde with no head. Lots of tripel - big malts, alcohol, touch of apricot. On the palate, sweetish, hoppy, firm malts and alcohol...balanced but none of the characteristics have been optimized.

Bottle from local iga grocery A: dry apricot, yellow fruits, spicy, alcohol. App: hazy pale sparing white head, some lacing. T/p: med body with just a touch of acidity. Moderate high carbonation. O: Nice and balanced with just a touch of acidity. The barrel aged version of this can only be awesome.

Gerbeer (3896) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 12, 2017
On tap. Pours a muddy amber with light head. Aromas of dry earthy apricots and wet malts. Flavors are more dry apricots, earthy yeast and thick wet malts. Thick... Not really into this one. Good for a glass but not a big bottle

Draft - Apricot and light sweet malts. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Stone fruit and creamy pale malts. Apricot is nice.

Draft sampler at the brewpub. Yellow orange cloudy. Apricot nose, and sour fruit with bitter hops finish. Excellent.

Belgian yeast aroma. Slippery palate. Taste is apricot and solid Belgian yeast characteristics, some copper penny in there too. Expect more from DDC

10,99$ for a 4-pack, almost ridiculously low priced for the quality herein, but hey, it's DDC and were in the Golden Age of craft beer here in Québec (and in a lot of other places). Apricots dominate the aroma, and the taste, that is sour enough to make your face's nervous system move the skin on it, makes the alchool unperceptible and mostly hides any sweetness. The hops bring an herbal (and treacherous) dryness in an everlasting wood-like aftertaste. Highly drinkable thus utterly boozy at 9%. I really enjoy this beer. Bravo Dieu du Ciel ! Encore ! Dieu du Ciel = Oh My God ! Or something like that...

Had this one after baseball tonight with my godson. Not sure what to expect, but not disappointed. Bang on. Thanks to my sister on this one who brought to me from St-Jerome.
