From 341 ml bottle. A quiet pour with medium carbonation and a bland cocoa, malt, and biscuit aroma. The beer is opaque dark with a sepia head and good lace. It has a smooth cocoa and roasted barley start with hints of coffee and biscuit extending into the middle. The finish is long with hop dryness adding to the complexity. Good, but lacks assertiveness in both taste and aroma for 9% abv. Caution: high abv is well hidden.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2016 Bottle at home. Pours pitch black, big beige creamy head. Rich dark chocolate and espresso notes fill the nostrils after pouring, along with caramel, toffee, molasses, light red fruit and further on leather, a tat smoke and quite a firm bitterness and alcoholic presence: well balanced altogether. Lingering dry, roasted malty finish. Big body, velvety smooth and thick mouthfeel, low carbonation. jandd1983 (4680) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - DEC 7, 2016
Bottle. It poured a black color with a tan head. The aroma was of roasted malts, coffee and chocolate. The taste was similar to the aroma with more chocolate, vanilla, coffee, roasted malts with a semi-dry bitter finish. Good stuff. Ktwse (5667) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 1, 2016
