BroueNeault (158) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 20, 2005
Not a fan of this kind of beer. Not much aroma, not moch flavour. Still, it is well done and refreashing.

PrimeMinister (138) - Quebec, CANADA - DEC 29, 2004
Refreshing Kolsh with all the typical characteristics of it. Yellow fizzy color with fast diminishing head. Average hops, dry finish: nice example of this style. Very well done.

Eructoblaster (4454) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 29, 2004
Limpid golden body topped with a lasting white foamy head. Fair hoppy aroma with herbal notes. Good hoppy taste with bready notes and an adequately bitter finish. Good refreshing Kölsch.

beerbuzzmontreal (3486) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 23, 2004
Clear pale golden color with a thin white head. Aroma and flavor of wheat and subtle hints of citrus. Light to medium body, lively carbonation.

DougShoemaker (3146) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 15, 2004
Malt nose? Clear gold, tiny head. Sweet malt flavour, some hops in the aftertaste. Light bodied, slightly bitter. A nice little beer, but it doesn’t fit the style.

tiggmtl (4543) - East York, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 9, 2003
Citrusy clean hop aroma. Very clear pale colour with a finger of dense head and good lacing. Mild nutty maltiness is a wonderful platform for the hop flavour and a lingering fruitiness. This is nicely balanced. Silky smooth mouthfeel and medium body. This new batch is definitely to style and tastes wonderful. On tap.

Oakes (19409) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 3, 2003
Hazy blond; slightly earthy, husky aroma; crisp bitterness in the back, but this quickly dissipates. Almost crunchy. Fresh malt note in the finish. Not to style.

Radek Kliber (7501) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - MAR 31, 2003
Initial big head. Aroma was a bit unusual for Kolsch but other than that nice. Light with VEREY nice touch, not sure how to describe. To make a proper good Kolsch beer is very hard. Brew master is trying its best, point for that.

muzzlehatch (4975) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 31, 2003
UPDATED: DEC 7, 2004 March 2003: This didn’t work for me, but I must say that I haven’t had a good (proper?) kolsch yet, so take it with a grain of salt. Honey-lemony, thin, I can’t get a handle on it. Somewhat bland. 5/3/5/3/11 2.7

December 2004, accompanied by the mysterious tiggmtl. Very clear bright gold, bit of thick head with some lace...light clean grainy nose, fresh, leafy hop flavors mixing with a hefty but balanced maltiness...touches of caramel and rosemary. Since my last rating this has become a favorite style, and Malchance is an excellent example.

MartinT (10155) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 16, 2002
UPDATED: MAR 12, 2005 Citrus drops gently falling on a lofty lactic and bitter ground...An earthy cereal undertow lifts the soft hop/malt balance to cover it soon again...Very quenching as should be, and very well-brewed as usual for DDC...
