Cask at Dieu du Ciel in Motreal. The color is a hazy honey with a thick white head. The taste is of the cascade hop a bit of fruity taste, but that is it. I took a glass of this beer because of the cascade hops otherwise I would not drink a paienne. The aroma is of hops not much more.

On tap @ Dieu du Ciel. Just listed as Paienne. Clear golden pour with white foam. Floral and lightly citrusy hop aroma. Nice orange zest and grass as well. Some nice bready malts, too. Flavor is a touch sweet but has a dry, crisp, bitter finish. Nice citrusy hops, some grass, and a good floral quality. Kind of fruity. Pretty solid and easy drinking.

Pale blonde pour. The nose is softly flowery with a touch of light fruit, berry and a bit of white pepper. Fruit intensifies as it warms up. Pretty nice brew.

On cask. Extra hopping makes for a good hop flavour. Easy drinking summer ale. Cloudy and lacy.

Aroma of sour dough, cloudy gold colour, an interesting taste of dried fruit, with a hint of black pepper. A pleasant short lasting palate of spice with slightly sour finish.

On cask at Dieu du Ciel. Pours a very slowly settling but rather clear gold with a thick yellowed white head. Absolutely gorgeous as it settles out. Big bright hops, grassy and loaded with bright succulent citrus. Juicy as hell, tons of citrus but very light and quenching. This is absolutely beautiful and wholly unexpected. Incredible stuff, clean and fresh, like a fresh squeezed hop nugget. Finishes lightly and delicately with a touch of bitterness. Incredibly sessionable and delightful.

Drank on cask (4 oz) at the Montreal brewpub on November 11, 2012. Yellow light, medium head. Light aroma of hops cascade, a little pale malt. Taste a little more hoppy than the original, just a little, bitter light pale malt. Not really a big improvement!
