Bottle. Rich black pour, very creamy thick brown foam. Aroma is rich, super coffee bomb, caramel, rich roasty malt notes, fruity coffee aromas, light spice. Taste is rich, tons of coffee, nice chewy malt backbone. Palate is rich, full bodied with good carbonation. Good stuff.

On tap at Muted Horn Berlin. Comes with dark black color head and a muddy, small head. The nose is coffee, chocolate, toffee and roasted malts. Taste of rasted malts and dark coffee, some caramel. Very nice mouthfeel. Nice bittersweet balance and very good finish.

Keg @ BBB. 2017 version. Pitch black pour with a small creamy mocha head. Very soft chocolaty coffee nose with mellow roasty malts, caramel, toffee & hints of dried bilberries. Sweet, bitter, malty & roasty taste. Very soft velvety mouthfeel. Deliciously balanced coffee character on a great base. Delicious!

341ml bottled 2016-11-18. Pour pitch black with a nice dense tan foam that last. Aroma is a bit to the varnish side, notes of coffee and sugar. Taste is from roasted malt, bitter coffee and spirits. Medium body and carbonation for the style. Long bitter and warm alcohol finish.

March 2017 - Keg at Moeder Lambic Fontainas as ’Dieu du Ciel Péché Mortel Édition Spéciale 2016/2017’. Pours opaque black with a foamy light brown head. Aroma is vanilla and rich chocolate, brandy and bourbon. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is vanilla and spice, 50% chocolate, rich coffee, earthy and boozy into the finish. A very good beer. (3.9)

Keg at FOB for Journee Peche. It pours a deep dark brown color with a medium beige head. Aroma is softly seeet and rich in dark chocolate and coffee notes with good vanilla and cinnamon. Taste is also well balanced between the vanilla and chocolate sweetness and the coffee and wood dry bitterness. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, nice one

March 11, 2017. Péché Mortel day at Akkurat as Spéciale 2017, nitro.
Black with a small dense and creamy tan head. Aroma is smooth creamy coffee with a nice berry character, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, some toffee, a touch of vanilla, light nutty notes. Taste is medium sweet, smooth roasted bitter, malty, roasted with fruity notes. Medium to full bodied, smooth creamy texture. Finish is smooth lingering roasted bitterness with fruity and very light earthy coffee notes, some dark chocolate, sweet caramel and toffee.
Very nice one, well balanced sweetness and bitterness.

2017 edition on tap at Griendel. Pours a very dark brown with a medium light brown/beige head that leaves very nice lacing. Nose is of really nice coffee and moka. Taste is more of the nice and vibrant coffee and never feels boozy. Body is full, carbonation moderate and it feels smoothy and creamy, even. An awesome coffee imperial stout, I wish they would do it all the time! Must be pretty cost prohibitive, though, and it shows (world class coffee).
