COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Péché Mortel (French for "Mortal Sin") is an intensely black and dense beer with very pronounced roasted flavours. Fair trade coffee is infused during the brewing process, intensifying the bitterness of the beer and giving it a powerful coffee taste. Péché mortel is brewed to be savored; we invite you to drink it in moderation.

This stout style, high in alcohol and bitterness in order to favour preservation, was historically brewed to support the long and arduous voyage necessary to export the beer from England to Russia. The word Imperial comes from the fact that the beer was specially brewed for the Russian tsar’s court.

Another great one from Dieu du Ciel. One of the top stout in Quebec, from start to finish, this beer is a pur pleasure.

dambor (859) - Berlin, GERMANY - JAN 13, 2018
UPDATED: JAN 13, 2018 On nitro in Berlin's Muted Horn. Pours black with creamy head. Aroma: coffee clearly dominates, followed by chocolate and a bit of charcoal. Taste, coffee and chocolate forward, with a touch of alcohol.

Oily black pour. Malt, chocolate and alcohol on the nose. Coffee and charcoal added to the mix in terms of flavour along with an ever present glow of alcohol. More charcoal on the finish but a little bit of sickly malt in there too. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JAN 11, 2018 Botella 33 en vivalabirra 28..12..2017. (r2204). Color negro con espuma beige oscuro persistente. Sabores y aromas intensos a café y achicoria torrefacta. Ligeros cacaos y especiados. Cuerpo medio no muy denso con gran dosis de café y seco al final. Buena.

wojanex (529) - warszawa, POLAND - JAN 5, 2018
Ładny, bardzo kawowy mocny stout, gorzki, wyttlrawny, bez szczególnych cech wyróŻNIAJĄCYCH. Przyzwoity risik.

2016/3, bottle from Slowbeer. Pours black with slight highlights, low ring of beige. Fantastic aroma of espresso with cream and vanilla, intense rich roasted malt, chocolate, smoke. Flavour ticks all the aroma boxes, strong bitter coffee and dark chocolate, a touch burnt, even a little pepper heat at the end. Smooth rich body, high bitterness, dry. A ballsy rich imp stout with a manageable ABV.

Mindwarp (323) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 24, 2017
Pours black with a thin tan head. Aroma is all coffee there may be some hints of roasted malt or chocolate in the back but it's mainly coffee. Taste is coffee I don't know if there is such thing as a stale coffee but it's got kind of an odd coffee flavor I'm no coffee expert. Overall an okay coffee Stout I'm not big into coffee so the ratings probably a little low but I have had better.
