Aroma is sour and somewhat vegetal. Burnished copper colour with decent white head that diminishes slowly. Buttery diacetyl and some cabbagey DMS overlay a malty sweet beer. UPDATED: OCT 25, 2003 3 years bottle: Hazy amber with a respectable white head. It smells boiled vegetables and Martin confirmed my asparagus suspicions. The nose is pretty sour too which was not so much reflected in mouth. The taste was old(in the sense of not fresh) malty, buttery with diacetyl notes as well as cloves. Somehow grainy texture. (3-year-old bottle)...Cold asparagus riding caramel alluvions...Dry yeast under heavy oranges and sticky flower nectar...Is this getting old or is this Fantôme-like weirdness?...
