Draft: Poured a slightly amber color ale with a nice little white foamy head with good retention. Aroma of light floral cereal with lightly sweet finish and light dry herbal notes. Taste is also a very nice mix between some floral malt with light residual sugar notes and dry floral hoppy notes. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Well brewed and easily drinkable with nice level of complexity. Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 14, 2011
In short: A dry, spicy and moderately hoppy belgian golden ale. Crisp and easy to drinkTaktikMTL (7822) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 12, 2011
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Almost clear golden-orange body topped by a medium white head with medium retention. Lots of lacings on the glass
In long: The fun bright nose has something resembling coriander, spicy hops, orange peels and light fruity notes. Taste has a lot of dried fruits (dried citrus fruits, dried bananas, dried pineapples), fruit skin, spices sensation, herbal hops. Sharp dry and mildly bitter finish. This is a fun simple session beer. This beer is Dieu Du Ciel going back to basics. I often go back to basics when I leave Dieu Du Ciel when I feel like I’m trying learn to walk and I struggle to speak simple words.

On tap at the brewpub. Slightly hazy golden with an average white head that shows great retention. Aroma is pale malt, herbal hops, a hint of yeast and maybe some metallic notes. Flavor is pale malt, herbal notes and a hint of bitterness. Medium body. Quevillon (3107) - Boisbriand, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 16, 2010
Drank on tap (20 oz) at the Montreal brewpub, on December 12, 2010. Deep orange blonde, good head. Aroma of malted barley, notes dry hoppy of grass. Taste of malted barley mild and dry, a few herbs and spices, very little bitterness. The weakest Rigor Mortis, in all senses!

Aroma is weak hops and some malts. Body is orange, with just a little bit of white head. Flavour is weak floral hops, ending with a very wet finish. It seems as though less alcohol just wrecks this recipe. MartinT (9932) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 10, 2010
My Bottom Line:
Orangey spiciness, herbal hops and pils malts coalesce in this balanced and super drinkable Belgian-style Abbey Single.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the misty orangey light amber.
-Spices and esters are hard to dissociate. Great job!
-Herbal hops and pils malts softly continue into the finish.
-This brew’s dryness is engaging, increasing drinkability tenfold.
On tap at the brewpub.
