The Rosée d’Hibiscus is a soft spoken wheat beer. The rose colour comes from the hibiscus flowers added during the brewing process. The aromas and flavour of this tropical flower are very prominent in the beer, giving it a slight acidity and a very agreeable fragrance. It is the perfect thirst quencher on a hot summer day.

Interesting flower beer. Thank you Mr. Jim Daley for taking me on this incredible journey. Red, light bodied, wheat aromas, mixed with fleeting aroma and flavor of habiscus. More of a novelty than anything else but enjoyable none the less as all beers from Dieu du Ciel are.

From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours rosee, with a nice fluffy foam, white and relatively fine. Aroma is pleasant and sweet, presumably from the hibiscus flowers, smelling almost like cake. Body is light, no carbonation, but surprisingly creamy and velvety. Taste is tendentially sweet, with very subtle bitterness and just a hint of acidity in the final which generates also a bit of astringency. Finish, however, is rather short and dry.

A small taste from my sister (tap) @ Bar Dom. Pours slightly cloudy ruby red with a low off-white head. Aroma is malts with berries and hibiscus. Like a jam. Flavor is crisp malts with some hibiscus and wheat. Pretty good.

Although the colour looks quite nice, it has a very thin white head that disappears completely after a couple minutes. Smells floral, with notes of red fruits, lambrusco wine, and caramel. The taste is sweet and sour, quite nice. However it’s too flat after 5 minutes, too light bodied and the finish is a bit weird.

Bue 8 mois avant DLC aux petites écuries. Biere ambrée, rouge. Arôme tranchant de fraise et pointe de rose. Sucrée et legere. Une pointe de grenadine en final. Tres agréable et sans sucre ajouté. Belle découverte !

11.5 ounce bottle at home. Little white head on this unusual beer. Rose in color and looks very nice. Earthy fruit taste Smooth on the palate with a little bit of carbonation. Overall this is a very nice beer. The hibiscus makes a difference.

On tap at DDC St-Jerome. I’ve seen this beer many times and with its pinking look, I knew at one point i’ll have to try it. It’s very attractive an different ot others. I felt a taste somewhere between a mixed floral and light small berries, with a nice well balanced acidity. Even with its pinky look, it might be considered a white beer. As such I compared it to the "Blanche du Paradis" and enjoyed the Rosée d’Hibiscus more. Maybe that may sound like a stereotype, if I’m going to DDC with a woman, I may recommend the Rosée highly to her. For a deeper fruity/berry taste, go with the Solstice d’été aux Framboises. You just have plenty of choices depending on your taste or the context of your visit.

Bottle. Pours reddish pink. Sweet floral aroma. Heavy sweet flavour which tastes overwhelmingly of hibiscus. I quite like hibiscus so I was fine with it. Pleasant drink.

Bottle, 341mL. Home. A beautiful sparkling orange-pink bubbly beer with a small white head ; average retention ; ok lacing. Flower, red berries, herb, spice, metallic note. Light to medium sweet, round, light dry refreshing, bitter note, light acid. Light to medium body, thin texture, average good carbonation, sweet floral fruity acid finish. Overall, enjoyable spice/herb beer ! A good one in this style.
