Thriving straw and grass lift the oranges and miscellaneous leaves. Milky sweetness and herbal hoppiness welcome the grain.
Freshly-cut grass offers a pleasant bitterness. A dry, hoppy ending is predicted and given, preceded by clean malt sweetness and white pepper-like spiciness. Quite laid back and pleasantly medium-flavored, perfect for a session.
Lazy trainspotting, yet smiling contently all the while.

On draught at the Mondial, 6/3/2005. Orange-golden-copper. Lightly hazy, full white, lasting head, with good lacing. Smells of musty, sweaty yeast, outdone by a crips, yet plant-like spiciness. Coriander stalks is what I always think of. Flavor is coriander and green, juicy plants. Fresh spiciness, with light hops bitterness, very green and chewy. Very doughy, though not bready or rough in any way. Medium-full bodied, ending malty sweet and quite yeasty. Moderate carbonation amply provides pleasing texture. Much yeast lingers on the finish. No alcohol detected in my samples. Boutip (6388) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 6, 2005
Sample at the Mondiale 2005: Poured an hazy yellow color ale with a medium head with minimal retention. Aroma of rip pear is clearly detectable as well as funky yeast. Taste is bit too sweet for my liking with the pear aspect taking too much place. Bitter finish is quite enjoyable. Overall, a nice saison though the abundance of the pear would limit the amount of this beer that I could drink.

Hazy gold, lasting white head. Slightly smoky somehow, sweet and sour hay nose. Grainy, fresh and smooth. Spicy hops mingle around the fluffy sweet citrus fruits. Juicy flower syrup, tart herbas and a deft coriander touch complete the aromatics. Bitterness remains under control, it seems like it has boundaries it won’t break to remains easy-going and mass-appealing for the whole festival crowd. The yeast doesn’t quite manage to provide any original rusticity or house character that I’ve come to adore in farmhouse ales. Drying toasted malt gives an quaffable impressing. Light to medium body, moderately carbonated. One that grows on you initially, but that you get tired of drinking after more than a few sips. muzzlehatch (4959) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 7, 2005
Sampled at the Mondial de la Biere. Slightly oily-looking burnished gold with a fluffy head...light malt nose with some hints of grass and spices (thyme, coriander)...very light, soft body, full and mostly dry throughout, becoming quite arid, peppery and hoppy towards the finish and somewhat astringent and metallic. A refreshing, dry, quaffable saison that is more drinkable than it is exciting. tiggmtl (4545) - East York, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 7, 2005
Musty though light notes of barnyard and hay in the lightly spicy aroma. Hazy, oily, golden body is topped by a fluffy white head that recedes slowly with plenty of lacing. Wheaty, musty flavour with herbal, hay-like hop notes and a light barnyard character has some notable alcohol in the finish. Fair bitterness and floral notes in the finish become more prominent as it warms. Medium-light body with moderate carbonation is somewhat slick and a touch oily. Sampled at Mondial de la Bière 2005. Eructoblaster (4205) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 3, 2005
Sample at Mondial de la Bière (Montréal). Nice amber body topped with a decent off-white frothy head. Very pleasant hoppy/herbal aroma with grainy, fruity and yeasty notes. Taste offers flavors of fresh hops plus some spicy notes. Ends with a long bitter finish. pretty good stuff! Too bad it is only available during the Mondial... beerbuzzmontreal (3487) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 8, 2005
