On tap, mars 2018. Vieillis 2014. Goût classique de barley wine mais avec une superbe pointe de sirop d'érable. Teinte brune, presque opaque. Très peu de mousse, peu pétillants. Très complexe comme goût, on sens l'alcool mais ça ne "brûle" pas. Superbe biere! KansaiBeerLvrs (5604) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JAN 26, 2018
Drank this side by side with the regular version back in 2016. Rating from an audio note taken at that time: The same plum raisin bready sweetness as the regular but with more depth with the added character of the bourbon and oak. It gives you more of a maple/molasses sweetness. I would say the aroma on this is even better, slightly darker but improved flavor (easy 8) and aroma (9), some rich maple, caramel/chocolate. The finish is a bit tannic, oaky and a bit dry. It really shows how a sweet barleywine that is good can be pushed into great territory with deft use of barrel aging. thorongil2 (3688) - , Ontario, CANADA - JAN 5, 2018
(Bottle) hazy, bright orange amber colour with a small white head; aroma of vanilla, honey; thick palate; balanced flavour, not as sweet as many examples of the style, well hidden alcohol Gerbeer (4296) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 10, 2017
On tap. Pours a muddy brown with light head. Aromas of caramel malts and woody bourbon. Flavours carry same with burnt sugar and quite a bit of bourbon. Underlying sweetness and malts are covered by Bourbon. djd07 (16512) - Houston, Texas, USA - OCT 17, 2017
Bottle. Pours a cloudy brown with medium beige head that lasts. The aroma is caramel, dark fruit, oak, brown sugar, booze. Medium body, caramel, raisin, date, fig, boozy finish, very good.

Oh man this was everything I expected! 12oz bottle pours dark chestnut brown with small head. Nose and taste are super rich with nutty caramel, vanilla, bourbon, toffee, dark fruit, nice level of sweetness that doesn't overpower, finish is long and complex. Wish I had more! fiulijn (21558) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 20, 2017
Sergey’s hunt; 10.2% ABV, bottled 2016-11-01slowrunner77 (13603) - Reno, Nevada, USA - JUN 13, 2017
Moderately sweet, strong bourbon, strong alcohol, a bit earthy.
Bottle from Youri. Dark n sweet, raisins and caramel and booze at the forefront. Really nice (and heavier than expected) barrel character in this takes what I didn’t think was a great BW to start, and turns it into a decadent sipper. Well done. Arcanor (422) - Quebec, CANADA - MAR 14, 2017
On tap at Bière au Menu. Dark brown with a dence white lasting foam. Aroma of candy sugar, bourbon and wood. Same for the taste. Speechless. Oakes (19711) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 25, 2017
Light brown and a bit hazy, has a fairly pronounced bourbon aroma, definitely sweet and a touch of raisin, cherry, soft dark fruits.
