My Bottom Line : Marheb (6193) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 18, 2012
This most elegant Wild Ale displays shiny yuzu fruitiness and tartness through slick honeyed cereals for a compelling drinking experience.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A veil of foam decorates the clear blond shine.
-The yuzu character is redolent of key lime at times.
-The mouthfeel is simply perfect; slender, polished, maybe even aerodynamic.
-Tartness is not as intense as most DDC Wild Ales. However, drinkability is sky high.

On tap at the brewery after igloo fest 2012. Pour is light amber, almost later like... Sweet candied sugar, wheat, dusty sweet tang exactly like smarties. Some orange or lychee... Citrus notes. hivemind (922) - New York, New York, USA - JAN 17, 2012
Tap at Dieu du Ciel with Andy, PJ and Niles. Pours golden with a white, whispy head. Notes of apricot and peach. Sweet and sour and a little wheat/yeast. Very tasty. Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 11, 2012
In short: An original sour wheat blond beer with an unusual musty/farmhouse and unusual fruity character. Original and very good

How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Almost clear blonde body topped by a small white head
In long: The aroma is very unusual, it is musty, it is scented/floral, I noted fresh potatoes (!!!), sour dough and citrus fruits. Intriguing to say the least. Taste a plenty of crisp bready/wheaty malts, lime, grapefruits, some lemon, dried flowers, farmhouse sensation. Sourness and acidity levels are average for the style. I never had a yuzu and obviously I don’t know what yuzus taste like, so I’m not sure if the unusual aspect of this beer comes from the use of this exotic fruit or something else, but all I can say is there was a really strange but fun farmhouse/musty component to this Berliner Weisse and an equally strange but fun fruity component. A Berliner Weisse made with yuzu, I never ate a yuzu in my life, no problem, I’ll try anything once, 48 times if it’s a good beer.
@Mondial de la Bière 2012, Montreal - hazy blond beer with a little foam left; strong nose of acidic yellow fruits; fresh lively and acidic palate; subtle carbonation; quite dry; bitter/acidic with a long fruity finish - very fresh and drinkable; original rederic (3344) - montréal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 11, 2012
Honey gold color, with a white head, mild juicy lemony, zesty lime, yuzu peel, musty, acidic nose with a light wheaten malty sourness accent, with a starfruit sharpness, lactic tart, sweet note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a nice mild lemon juice, acidic lime, yuzu rind, lactic sour yeastiness character with a wet wheat malt sourness, musty white grape backbone, leading towards a zesty yuzu rind, juicy lemon citrus acidic, sour, light sweet maltiness finish. jercraigs (10886) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 14, 2012
2012-06-08. Lightly hazy yellow, small white head. 3+ Modest aroma is funky in a way that is different from what I am used to in a sour, interesting fruit character is vaguely grape like? 7+ Flavour is similar, refreshingly sour throughout, mild fruity character, sort of grape like as in the aroma. Pleasant modest sourness lingers in the finish and aftertaste. 7+ Smooth average palate is softly carbonated. 3+ I found the more subtle aspects struggled a bit to define themselves against the sourness, but I expect that might develop more in a larger sample. Enjoyable. On tap at Mondial, Montreal sseb69 (1935) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 11, 2012
Mondial de la bière à Montréal 2012. Couleur jaune assez neutre, mousse blanche. Arôme de malt, levure et fraîcheur. Amère, un peu sûre. Bonne beer.
