Medium brown. The aroma is earthy and with sweet dark things. Nice dark malt and earthy character from the mushrooms. Lubiere (14133) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 5, 2009
A clear brown ale with a thin moka head. A nutty malt aroma, caramel. In mouth, a nice nutty brown ale with caramel and light hops. Medium bodied...mmm...not sure what morelle smell or taste like, but this isnt different than a brown ale. On tap at Mondiale 2007. Bov (13221) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - JUN 21, 2012
@Mondial de la Bière 2012, Montreal - hazy dark beer with a little beige foam left; nice lace; earthy with fair notes of mushrooms; medium-bodied, earthy tartness and a creamy palate; more notes of mushrooms and a long earthy finish Sammy (12600) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 17, 2012
Tasted stoutish with soupy vegetable mushroom. This would make a good slow cooking stew. Interesting as a beer. On tap at WVRST. jercraigs (10731) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 15, 2012
2012-06-09. Black body with a nice tan head and lace. Earthy roasty aroma is pleasant, lightly dusty malt character. 7+ Flavour is interestingly different... Dusty roasty malt, light bitterness throughout, something that I can not quite place that I assume to be the mushrooms. 7+ Average plus bodied palate. 3+ It is quite enjoyable and well made but perhaps not something I would drink every day. My final beer at Mondial 2012! On tap at Mondial, Montreal

Morel mushrooms lace the nutty brown ale base, as a peppery earthiness rounds off the back end. This is another Dieu du Ciel creation which showcases the brewer’s extraordinary talent at integrating exotic ingredients to a very good base beer and making all ingredients shine equally and in unison.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam protects the brown gown.
-Maltiness, as is usual for DDC, is creamy and superbly developed.
-A sweetish candy character seeps into the nuttiness.
-This would be just the perfect accompaniment to a great steak. Some of it reduced into a coulis, and then a pint of it on the side. Mmmmm.
On tap at the Mondial de la Bière.
mondial 2012, mtl - notes. tap at ddc. dark brown with a nice beige head, some retention. almost burnt malts, woody and roasted notes. average to soft carbonation, medium body, decent grassy finish. mabel (9245) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 25, 2012
[4504-20120609] Bottle. Roasted chocolate-covered coffee beans and burnt dry wood aroma. Black brown body with a quick foamy light brown head. Burnt nutty wood and dry-roasted coffee grind malt flavour. Full body. Great finish to the festival, nice roasted characteristics. (9/3/8/4/16) 4.0

Draft: Poured a clear dark color ale with a small brown color head with minimal retention. Aroma consists of roasted malt which is mostly dry with some notes of morel mushrooms which is almost unreal. Taste is a really good mix between some dry roasted malt notes with some unique notes fm morel mushroom. Body is a bit light with good carbonation. Very unique beer though not sure I need to drink vast amount of that one.
