COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The light amber colour of this beer conceals an important cargo of hops. It’s light effervescence allows for the discrete fruity taste of the malt and the pronounced bitterness to be better appreciated. The aromas of fruits and hops spread over the palate and cast a spell over all who dare to taste this beer.

cask. foggy orange-copper body with a medium sudsy, soapy white head. floral English hop aroma is very pleasant. soft creamy body with flavourful hops and near perfect balance. bitter finish. DDC makes great session cask ales.

Miguel (1181) - Saint-Ours, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 17, 2005

Dickinsonbeer (5073) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - SEP 11, 2005
Tap- RBSG 05. Pours a light amber with an ok off white head. Aroma was moslty herbal and somewhat grassy- not like the citrus American IPA I was expecting. Light crystal malts in the flavor with some nice herbal hops and a pretty modest bitterness. Crisp and dry in the end.

Verre de dégustation de 4 oz. à la brasserie. Arôme: Odeur d’houblons et d’agrumes. Apparence: Couleur blonde orangée. Moyen col mousseux. Faible densité des bulles. Large dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de céréales et d’agrumes. Court arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture minérale. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Amertume en arrière goût. (Rating #271)

BückDich (5477) - McCall, Idaho, USA - AUG 24, 2005
Draught at the brewpub
Copper color, thick white head, lots of lacing. Nose of bright hops, some creamy malts. The flavor is balanced with some underlying caramel malt and a pronounced body. Finishes balanced, well build and very tasty.

joeycapps (1468) - Waterdown, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 4, 2005
Hazy copper w/ small finger of off-white foam. Good lace. Fresh, hoppy aroma of grapefruit & orange w/ rich, toasted malts to support. Sticky, resiny feel. Flavour is hoppy & bitter but well-supported by a foundation of bready malt. Sweet notes of caramel & toffee round things off. Lingering finish.

Crockett (1127) - Southampton, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 2, 2005
Pours light amber with a big lacing off white soapy head. Nose more of toasted malt than the piney soil and mossy hops. Toast and alcohol with a licorice/fennel note. Lush and full of leaves. Some well rounded caramel. Tea like tendancies. Stylishly build and balance is the strong point.

3.9
mrkimchee (1414) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 30, 2005
clear copperbalanced aroma of doughy, bready malts, fruity, leafy hops and mild musk. very english tasting. caramel and bready malts flavour, some toast. soft but substantial hop finish. very nicely balanced.

2.8
richlikebeer (839) - Easton, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 29, 2005
draft during RBSG visit - soapy grapefruit aroma on a golden colored ale, topped with a soapy white head. lots of citrus in the taste, and not much else. a lite body and slight hop bite at the end made this a pretty boring ipa, but again, no big deal compared to what else DDC offers.

3.4
hopscotch (11238) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUL 24, 2005
Draft...RBSG2005... Clear, burnt orange ale with a mid-sized, fizzy, off-white head. Floral nose. Mild hops. American black tea. Well-balanced flavor is lightly bitter with unsweetened black tea, juniper and lemon zest. Medium-bodied and creamy with light carbonation. Finishes lightly bitter and dry.
