special belgian ale, red brillant, foam beautiful like in the fermentation, full of taste, caramel is sweet, but important effect of the hops, body structured full, something smoke, raisin, little ginger. In the finish is fine bitter. A very artisanal quality with intesive and durable taste. My prefered belgian ale.
Darker color with huge thick white foam head leaving laceing on glass and lip. That’s the way I like it. Nice caramel flavor and likewise taste. Tasted perfect with tomato soup we ordered. (Utrecht 201203) omhper (25544) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - NOV 23, 2003
Bottled. Muddy deep golden. Estery fruits up front. Softly malty, some bubblegum. Pleasant and impressive. imdownthepub (15130) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 9, 2007
Bottle conditioned, 250ml, at Take 1, Maastricht. Amber colour with white head. Hoppy bittersweet beer with a decent alcohol note. Nicely aromatic with a floral character, it finishes long and grassy. fata2683 (2176) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - NOV 20, 2008
Bottle, pours clear amber with a medium white head. Aroma is very strong of biscuity malt, some carmel. I also get a light citric hop smell. Flavor is nice, starts with some sweet carmel and fades to a nice fresh hop bitterness. The malt character flows nicely in the background. Finishes slightly dry and slowly mellows out. Great flavor that lasts for a minute after swallowing. Excellent lacing as I’m drinking. The mouth is perfect to me. The carbonation hits at just the right time(after the initial sweeness) and helps bring the bitterness to the forefront. I have to admit I wasn’t expecting much, but this was a pleasant suprise. Great flavor, easy to drink, and left me wanting more. Pick some up if you can!

Pous a clear orange beer, fine white head. Smells sweet, caramel, dried fruits and honey. A very pleasant, non sticky, mouthfeeling, a very soft taste. Alcoholsweetness, spices and a little hop. Aftertaste has more spices and hops. davidm (2081) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JAN 13, 2012
Bottle from the Local Taphouse shop. Great malty and fruity ale. Aromas of caramel, grain, and hints of cherries and citrus. Taste is sweet, with a hint of sourness, and average length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Amber, cloudy, with a frothy head. thewolf (12744) - Kolding, DENMARK - OCT 9, 2006
Tap. Dark amber with little creamy white head. Aroma is spicy and malty sweet. A lot of spices in taste and lots of fruitiness - mostly oranges. ryanknock (150) - San Francisco, California, USA - MAR 2, 2009
Nose of toast, pear, apple, slight banana. Light amber color, light haze, with slight gold and orange highlights. Light nutty flavor, banana, pear, light earth and citrus. Light to medium bitter finish, slightly creamy. Nice, balanced Beligum Amber. Really surpised by the rankings on here, this is a really delicious beer, but not "extreme" or done by a well established brewery, which is why I would account others for the low ratings. Striking white pepper hops dictate the way...Gooseberries on the side, relaxing in the summer hay...This spicy bread of hops is delicious yet one-dimensional...
