Bottle from bleeng
Pours a congnac brown with a chunky body. Aroma is watered-down ice tea. Flavor is tea leaf cigar wrapper malt. Watery on the tongue. Weird beer.

12oz bottle from Paul U. Chocolatey brown pour with a head that quiclu fades but leaves behind nice lacing. Not a strong aroma but it has nice chocolate notes to it. Flavor is sweet with more chocolate and caramel. Nice creamy mouthfeel and smooth clean finish.

Draft. Pours a thin head, no lacing, over a clear, light brown (SRM 20) body....nose is light coffee, light chocolate, bit of caramel, slight floral hop.....taste is similar with light sweetness (toffee/caramel) slight chocolate, coffee, bit of mild hop bitterness, the light sweetness lingered throughout, until the very end, when it became dry....mouth feel is on the light side of medium, carbonation makes for a creamy mouth feel. BJCP 6/2/11/4/6

Draught. Orange/Brown with thin white head. Aroma is very caramel and nuts. flavor is spicy malt, caramel, sweet toasted malt notes. Light and I mean very light hops also in flavor. Finish is nice. A little thin of texture my only complaint

Cavie (4837) - Arlington, Texas, USA - OCT 18, 2009
Bottle courtesy of bleeng. Clear brown pour with some ruby touches. Musty malts with feelings of cocoa bean as well. Roasted coffee as it warms on the nose. Taste is dry but has a coffee bitterness. Finish is less than desirable.

daknole (11402) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - SEP 1, 2009
Brown pour. Caramel and a very light nuttiness. Flavor is weak and light caramel malt. Meh.

Tap at the brewery. Dark brown and filtered. Sweet, light burnt malts. Very light body. Typical brown-not much going on here.

On tap poured a clear brown with very little aroma. Flavor was sweet malt, nuts, and a little caramel.

GABF 2008. One of the few proprieters to be pouring his own stuff. Lightish brown, light toffee malt, medium fruit hop finish. A mild but solid rep of the style.
