Rating from 3/06. On tap @ DD. English-style ale. Reddish brown color. Mild caramel and nutty aroma. Taste is sweet, nutty malt followed by earthy hops and a mildly bitter finish.

The 12 ounce bottle poured a clear medium reddish brown beverage with a small frothy off-white head that was mostly diminishing and left a little bit of lacing on the glass. The aroma was interesting with notes of caramel, spicy hops, aged leather and rock candy blending together to create an intriguing invitation to taste. The body was medium with soft carbonation and a watery texture. I see that my rating is quite a bit higher than everyone previous to me. I simply LOVED this beer! It had a sweeter taste with a defined caramel finish. On tap at the brewpub. Dark amber to light reddish brown in color with a thin off white head. Head retention poor. Aroma tough to pick out- bread dough and caramel, but very slight. On tap at the Dillon Dam Brewery & Restaurant. Poured a medium brown color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, nuts, and toasted malts. Tastes of caramel, light roast, and chocolate. For a brown ale, this wasn’t bad.
