From old tasting notes. Medium gold with a dense creamy white head. Good complex malt/hop aroma. Light sweet maltiness with a distinct hop character.mdelicious dry finish. Long dry aftertaste. Well balanced and flavorful.m

Clear golden beer, lively bubbled to huge, if not longlasting very light-yellowish head. Bit dusty, dry malts’ nose, dried herbs, ever so slightly grassy. Faint bitterness, near hoppy in the finish, and dry-ish maltbacking, but all indifferent, laid-down, uninspired. Carbonation, spritzy at first, then fades away. Light body, bit slick. Ho-hum Pilsener. GE has much better to offer.

DATE: December 26, 2016... OCCASION: Watching The Avengers with the family after a great Christmas weekend... GLASSWARE: Jever pokal... pours a clear, solid golden body with reasonable, streaming effervescence... a soapy, filmy, yet substantial white head occupies its crest... the aroma is metallic Saaz ping, lightly floral, bready, and mild--what could be expected of a European pilsner... a clean, nondescript lagerish consistency, easily drinkable... besides the aforementioned Saaz, light pepper, lemon grass, biscuit, light earthiness, oats and some apple... beefy and malty at its finish--not the aftertaste that wants to be left behind... not the kind of beer that will have me seeking it out again--in fact, the reason I sought this out at all was the fact that I had it over a decade ago and hoped to rate it... now that I have, I leave for others the suggestion to find something brighter, punchier, spicier, cleaner, or another comparative that specifies better... about halfway there...

L: -pours a clear golden with a medium, foamy, white head -medium carbonation visible S: -metallic,spicy,honey ,lots of apple, grainy, vanilla T: -grainy,honey,metallic,l to medium bitterniss for the style F: -medium carbonation -light,watery body O: Can’t even reach the level of most Industrial Macro Pilseners. If you want a czech-inspired German-brewed Pils, go with Radeberger instead.

bottle @ Getränkemarkt / Schwaebisch Gmuend Germany --- Aroma of malt and floral hops. Clear light golden amber, big white head that drops to a thick cover, lace netting. Taste is malt with insufficient carbonation that moves to floral hops in a fairly long finish. Not enough here to make a good Pils. I wouldn’t buy it again.

mansquito (6437) - Nueva York, New York, USA - MAY 28, 2016
New Beer Distributors, NYC bottle: pours golden with crappy head. Aroma is light grass and sugar. Taste is light bitterness. Very easy to drink. Nothing at all special. Not bad though.

HopTsing (575) - Sandston, Virginia, USA - APR 7, 2016
Straight from the tap I loved this pale brew with a frothy white head. I was everything I love about Pilsners-subtle flavors of malt and hops with a little hop lingering flavor to finish up. Bravo!

damzz (501) - Massachusetts, USA - MAR 18, 2016
Pours yellow with a large white head that dissipates in to a thin ring with lacing. The nose is faint cereal. The body is medium. The taste is malt sweetness with slight crispness and bitterness. A poor example from the land of lagers. 1/2 liter can Packaged: 4/28/15; Best By 4/27/16

Unremarkable pilsner that pretty well lacks everything a good pilsner has gong for it. Looks like apple juice in the glass. Tastes like sweet corn water with a hint of bitterness. More annoying than it is satisfying. Avoid. (I wish I had).
