12oz bottle. Translucent amber-brown color. Minimal soda-like head. I’d have to guess the bottle was old. Pungent, devolved dark malt tones. On the light side of medium bodied. Some toffee tones. Cheap Eastern-European dark beer. Probably way better fresh, certainly not one to age. JPDIPSO (6216) - Wauwatosa, USA - APR 4, 2003
Clear brown with perhaps a touch of rudy. Head seems to be a bit fizzy with a beige hue. Light caramel and dough aroma. Somewhat sweet and unassuming. Drinkable and somewhat forgetable. TheBeerGod (6209) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - JUN 3, 2003
Pours a dark brown with a nice fluffy tan head. The nose is malty and sweet. The body seemed thin to me but also has more malt and definite chocolate notes. Seemed like a weaker or thinner version of Spaten Optimator. Not a bad beer, just not outstanding. thedm (6148) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - FEB 1, 2004
This bottled brew poured a large head of finely sized very light brown colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a fair lace. The body was transparent brown colored and carbonated. The aroma was nice with caramel malt and brown beer malt notes. The mouth feel was smooth slightly tingly and finished very mellow. It had a mild brown beer flavor that was malty and just a little thin. JK (6095) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - MAY 2, 2007
This is nice. Surprisingly full flavored. Aroma has roasted malt and toasted bread. Dark brown color with low carbonation. Flavor is roasted grain. They did a good job with this. Great body, especially for the style.

A fairly rich aroma with a bit of molasses. Quite light and easy, but has a good sweeness in the finish, maybe a hint of chocolate. Good stuff. cheap (5799) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 16, 2006
UPDATED: DEC 31, 2007 Has a slight roasty aroma and it continues on into a roasty flavor. Lighter in color than Warsteiner dunkle but is heavier in taste. Below average carbonation. Cornfield (5570) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - DEC 18, 2005
Deep caramel in color with a creamy off-white head, this has a solid molasses and caramel aroma. The flavor is lightly roasted malt, caramel, a touch of ripe apple, and a nutty bitterness. Pretty decent dunkel.Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - JUL 4, 2008

Bottle best i’ve had from this company. Pours a light brown body with some malty caramel aromas. A little like a bock but more like a pils. Not bad for shop rite. BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - FEB 22, 2004
Dark chocolate ruby brown with a large tan head. The aroma is very fruity with some cherries, brown sugar, honey and fig. Almost like a dopplebock here. The flavor was smooth and balanced and it finished medium bodied with a full mouthfeel. This was a good dunkel!
