12oz bottle. Translucent amber-brown color. Minimal soda-like head. I’d have to guess the bottle was old. Pungent, devolved dark malt tones. On the light side of medium bodied. Some toffee tones. Cheap Eastern-European dark beer. Probably way better fresh, certainly not one to age. dwyerpg (6410) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - JUN 13, 2008
A fairly rich aroma with a bit of molasses. Quite light and easy, but has a good sweeness in the finish, maybe a hint of chocolate. Good stuff. thedm (6319) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - FEB 1, 2004
This bottled brew poured a large head of finely sized very light brown colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a fair lace. The body was transparent brown colored and carbonated. The aroma was nice with caramel malt and brown beer malt notes. The mouth feel was smooth slightly tingly and finished very mellow. It had a mild brown beer flavor that was malty and just a little thin. JK (6295) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - MAY 2, 2007
This is nice. Surprisingly full flavored. Aroma has roasted malt and toasted bread. Dark brown color with low carbonation. Flavor is roasted grain. They did a good job with this. Great body, especially for the style. JPDIPSO (6286) - Wauwatosa, USA - APR 4, 2003
Clear brown with perhaps a touch of rudy. Head seems to be a bit fizzy with a beige hue. Light caramel and dough aroma. Somewhat sweet and unassuming. Drinkable and somewhat forgetable.

Pours a dark brown with a nice fluffy tan head. The nose is malty and sweet. The body seemed thin to me but also has more malt and definite chocolate notes. Seemed like a weaker or thinner version of Spaten Optimator. Not a bad beer, just not outstanding. cheap (6089) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 16, 2006
UPDATED: DEC 31, 2007 Has a slight roasty aroma and it continues on into a roasty flavor. Lighter in color than Warsteiner dunkle but is heavier in taste. Below average carbonation. BrewDad (5667) - Olympia, Washington, USA - JUL 16, 2006

A dark brown brew with a minimal head. This had a strong flavor and a good malt balance. You can tell they took there time brewing this beer. The fruitiness was subtle yet noticeable. I liked this beer it was a good representative to the style.

Bottle best i’ve had from this company. Pours a light brown body with some malty caramel aromas. A little like a bock but more like a pils. Not bad for shop rite. Aurelius (5571) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - DEC 21, 2001
Tall raft of speckled foam. Malty, roast aroma and flavor. Bittering comes more from the dark malt than the hops. Very good, with a good price.
