Couleur dorée trouble, légère mousse. Nez malté un peu doux. Gout malt d’orge assez doux mais aqueux, avec leger houblon et pain. Fin legerement amere... vraiment grand public... / getrankemarkt marlen

33cl bottle as "Oktoberfest". Marketing is clearly aimed towards st. pauli girl drinkers with a big-titteid fraeuline on the front. It is an extremely dark oktoberfest reminding one of US-interpretations. It almost reminds me of st. ides in the aroma, boozy, corny, grain husky. Flavor is oxidized, caramel, herbs, savory note, mint. Meh...

11.2oz bottle. Filtered copper body. Foamy, fading, creamy off-white head. Kidn of oxidized, aged aroma. Not the most impressive Marzen, still well within the freshness date on the bottle but..uh, maybe not. Muted instead of vibrant. Bland caramel malts dominate, really not much hop balance. Drinkable, but unimpressive.

50 cl can from Boise Co-op. Märzen on the darker side of the spectrum. Deep rich amber tone with soft beige head. Musty, dusty aroma, grainy taste , right on target for the style. Not great, but not out of place either. And I loved the Stuttgart Cannstatterfest....

Can. Pours a flat golden-brown with a high, fine-grained, blown-insulation had. Nose is dried fruit, maple waffles, and a little spice; very mild. On the palate, it’s frankly boring; flat, insipid, and without any of the life or richness I expect from a Marzen. Finish is hollow and one-dimensional. Not good.

500ml Bottle . Tulip glass. Rich malty nose . Golden and white subtle lacing , not as dark orange as customary examples . Easy drinking . Caramel , brown bread , sticky emphasis .

Picked up at Toom Getränke in Kaiserslautern. Pours a medium amber color. Aromas of roast malts, caramel, and a touch of spice(ginger?). Flavor has a nice smooth sweet roasted taste. A little bitter on the finish.

50cl bottle from kevnic2008, many thanks! Pours clear deep golden colour with a mid-sized most good lasting white head. Aroma of pale malt, grain, some sweet malt, some hops. Taste is mild hoppy, metallic hops, grain, sweet malt.
