Export this earth with a pronounced malty beer owes its subtle caramel note the use of selected malt. The slight sweetness - smooth and round in Nachtrunk - not only inspires the ladies. A caress for each beer throat.

(Bottle) Pours dark copper-ish amber with a creamy off-white head. The aroma is medium malty with deep tones of caramel, light honey, light syrup and juicy dark bread. Some herbal hops are also present. Some hints of canned fruits is rising from the sweetness. The flavour is medium malty and light hoppy with tones of sweet caramel, dark bread, light nuts and herbs. Medium sweet and light bitter. The mouthfeel is soft and light creamy with a light crisp carbonation. Medium bodied.

Bottle @ hotel in Würzburg. Pours a brownish, dark amber with a large, beige head. Aroma is very herbal. Taste is dark bread, rye, somewhat sweet caramel, light grass and herbs in the finish. Palate is medium full, not too much so though, carbonation is just right as well for this kind of beer.

TAP: Sweet sugary nose, caramel color, low head. Sweetish malt with some caramel. Sugary with a dry bitter. Medium body. I generally like this style, but this isn’t so good.

Test vom 8.2.2011, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,9,9,9,9,9 - 9,10

Grima (2394) - Merzkirchen, RLP, GERMANY - JUN 24, 2011
Bright amber color, high, long-lasting, head. Smells very malty, slightly roasty and subtle grainy. Starts malty bitter and roasty, with a slightly grainy aroma. The finish is also very malty, slightly bitter and dry.

vinivini (2380) - Gomel, BELARUS - JUL 24, 2015
Amber colour, tall white pretty head. Aroma of bread, roasted malt, dry fruit. Medium body. Quaffable. Sweetish malty taste is accompanied by significant hoppy bitterness. Minimal acidity of roast. Delicate hops in ending. A pleasant one.

WillemsUrenkel (1867) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - DEC 7, 2014
0,5 l bottle. Pours out in a dark copper, small light tanned head. Nearly nothing on the nose. Taste starts malty, light toasted, middle part with sweetness. Darker aftertaste with a soft bitterness. Standard stuff.

2.1
KeefOz (1837) - Tarragindi, AUSTRALIA - APR 7, 2013
Draught at Altstadhotel, Baunachshor, Wertheim, Germany. Poured a clear dark amber colour with a two-finger off-white foamy head that retained well and laced well. Very low carbonation. Aroma of earthy malt, sweet caramel and subtle hops. Taste not a lot initally and fades to a earthy malt with a bit of citrus. Light body. Short slightly sour malt finish. Slightly better than the Distelhauset Pils.
